The first burger was GOD. Juicy, kosher salt is the best spice when cooking, and the provolone really set it off it was amazing.
I feel we are all gentlemen in this thread so I don't want to lie or leave out part of the story. The 2nd one was not so good. I may have got impatient and took it off too soon. I love rare, that's my thing, but the 2nd one was just like cold hamburger meat mostly on the inside. So you win Willie. Well played.
in after e-coli
damn bot, please bump this thread every half hour so we know you are alive
seriously bot, on what surface did you cook that?
the bottom right is well done and the middle looks like steak tartare
i'd hate for you to die a couple hours before issue #102 comes out
and would it kill you to toast the bread?
not trying to rub it in, but these are questions that need to be answered
lol
Well, it should win super moist award from title.
RIP mRobot
i hope there's a heaven for a g with a neck tattoo
I loved checking up on this thread the last several days, but now I feel it has been ruined by that disgusting raw "cheeseburger". The fuck man?
Seriously, it was like watching an extremely hot porn video, and the camera just zoomed in on the dude's face at the worst possible moment.
Okay I'm finished being irrationally upset and triple-posting. Carry on.
i'll try to get this back on track despite mrobot doing his best to kill everyone's food boner
homemade boneless chicken wings
just cut up a chicken breast, corn meal & eggwash, fried and then tossed in franks hot sauce and butter
one actually looks amazingly like a real chicken wing
and here is a t-bone dinner i posted a while ago

Ever have a shooter's sandwich? I made some a few years ago and they kicked ass. Here's a slightly different version from the ones I made:

i've seen like ten versions of that sandwich on reddit
never tried one though, i always thought the steak would be too chewy
Yeah, it is a bit chewy.
Going to cook these later:
In the meantime I wanted to make something light and healthy to tide me over.
Gus' Pretzels w/ Nacho Cheese
If you are a fan of ballpark food and want to try to replicate those stadium nachos or the pretzels with cheese, this is your boy.
rico's is GOD, don't ever doubt me
chicken wings on deck
Are you frying the wings or baking them? I've been baking wings the last 2 Sundays, a ritual I'd like to continue throughout football season. But they haven't turned out great, to be honest. Part of that may be due to laziness. I'm making large batches. I marinate them in Frank's buffalo sauce for an hour, and cook them in the oven for about an hour at 350F. I've seen other methods online that involve higher heat, less time, and turning them, which I didn't really feel like doing. A lot of people apparently swear by steaming them first. I experimented with breading them in the middle of the week, but that sucked. Maybe a light coat of flour wouldn't hurt. I'd also like to try mixing in a little garlic to the marinade.
i wouldn't marinate them in the hot sauce first
i think that will end up being your first barrier to crispy brown skin, if you do you really should pat them dry prior to putting them in the oven
as far as cooking them in the oven, i like to steam or par-boil them prior and then finish them in the oven at like 425, turning them half way through
as far as taste goes i def prefer just to fry them but that involves a shit load of clean up so about half the time i just bake them in the oven
the most important part is the finish, sprinkle the wings with salt as soon as they come out of the oven/fryer, then toss in FRANK'S hot sauce and almost as much butter
sometimes i add a few bumps of garlic powder into the hot wing sauce
garlic is really bitter if burnt, so i would add any garlic to the sauce at the end
should have some super-moist pics of the finished product here in an hour or two
btw red devil hot sauce with butter is also trop trop
forgot to pick up ranch or blue cheese at the grocery store and i have no one to blame but myself
no pics but pretty sure I spent the best $5 in recent times on food
went with subways $5 faves, turkey breast on flat bread with pepperjack cheese and yes, it was toasted.
Went with the following: light lettuce, cucumber, pickle, onion, banana peppers, olives and light jalapeno. Went with a light mayo and italian dressing
$5 yall...I'm a light eater and often save. So for me this is $2.50/meal
Fuck it!!! I made an awesome shepards pie on Tuesday and lobster macaroni and cheese yesterday. I should have taken pics. Damn it!!! Next time.
I like me some SMFP!!!
question for 408VoicesMike:
is this diet sustainable?
