Already feeling ripe for true crime conspiritards but this one feels pretty cut and dry.
I learned my lesson after getting sucked into that Making a Murderer bullshit; was a pretty lengthy PFA thread too if I recall. Guy was clearly 100% guilty after the slightest bit of additional research.
Same with that Serial case; that killer is now out because the notoriety behind it allowed for additional hearings, and eventually some prosecutor under fire sprung him to take heat off of her own legal issues.

The legal system obv has issues but I hate how its generated this industry of armchair detectives poking holes in everything.

Dude confessed hundreds of times, was in solitary for 120 days for refusing to wear clothes and eating his own shit.

I mentioned this case in a different thread and I thought about it a bit more just now.
You know what bothers me?
The dude definitely seemed to know the girls were coming there. Witnesses said he walked past a lot of other teen girls and barely looked at them. They said he was walking "with purpose".
He targeted them and knew they'd be on that bridge.
The girls probably knew they were meeting someone, hence Libby deciding to record the guy when he was walking towards them, which otherwise would have been unremarkable in the middle of the day on a hiking trail. (She probably noticed that, from a distance, he looked like a middle-aged dude, and not the cute teen boy they thought they were meeting.)
Yet we never got answers as to why this was. He either set this up online himself (presumably pretending to be a boy their age), or that pedo guy who was "cleared" was an accomplice, and set up the meeting either for Richard or told Richard about it.
I hate when these things have loose ends, and when other likely guilty parties get away clean.
Reminds me of the OKC bombing where they just pretended there was never a second guy with Tim McVeigh, and then claimed it was Terry Nichols, even though Terry looked nothing like the composite drawings.
