Protest or Riot?

You going to start up with that shit again Les?
Canada had no choice to get into the wars...for Canada foreign policy was determined by the English and when England declared war each time Canada had to join in or leave the empire...because Canada knew it could not stand on its own it chose staying in the Empire, so it went to war...

Canada did not use conscription, and during WW2 the French population of Canadian men largely sat out
the United States had fought for and won it's power to decide it's own foreign policy, it also had a sizeable number of people of German and Irish Catholic ancestry who opposed assisting England....
and in WW2 you saw how much help England and France were to Poland...despite declaring war in support of Poland both France and England sat along the French border in fall 1939 rather than send an expedition into Poland...typical British, want someone else to do their fighting but won't help their allies....so the US sitting out the start of each war was the same a what the British empire did to Poland
Drake Sucks. He is nothing for Canadians to be proud about. Especially those freaking awful State Farm commercials. Reason enough for him to get deported. Neil Young sucks too. Waaaaayyy overrrated as a musician and can't sing in tune. Never heard of Tom McDonald. Is he related to "Old McDonald"? Gretsky hated Canada too much he moved here and stayed.
Don't get me wrong, Canada is like America's attic. You don't go up there often, but when you do you can find some pretty cool stuff, eh? I actually like Vancouver a lot. Been there twice.
You’re right, we’ve had this discussion before and I will not go into detail at this moment because I was making a general point in reaction to an earlier negative post. There are two sides to every story and judgment comes from that.
U.S. WWII participation was used as an example. A lot of past actions initiated by the U.S. are unique to that country meaning the inaction of all other countries in that area can be judged by comparison.
I dislike lengthy posts but to describe the above actions/non actions would be a lengthy process.
Maybe you Gringos can enlighten me. Why is it that every time a criminal black guy gets shot, it's time to loot TVs and washing machines? It doesn't happen when a Latino, Honky or Asian gets shot.

The Democrats did this to themselves.
After encouraging this shit all summer 2020, now this rioting is going to become the norm every time an unarmed black man gets killed or shot by police, regardless of the circumstances.
The people aren't going to put up with this being the new normal. This is going to kill the Dems in the midterm elections if they don't get a handle on this. Blaming the rioting on "systemic racism" ain't gonna fly. Denying that rioting is occurring ain't gonna fly either.
Remember that Trump beat himself. The Dems had a very disappointing Senate and House election season, given the turnout they had for Biden. This was somewhat forgotten after Warnock and Ossoff won the runoff, but again that was Trump fucking up (plus the Republican candidates being crap.)
Maybe Biden will get the benefit of everyone being in a good mood after COVID vanishes or declines and life goes back to normal, but the Dems are really risking a voter revolt if the cities are constantly a hair away from rioting.

I think this whole thing is pretty clear.
1) Daunte was somewhat of a delinquent and thug, though not a horrible criminal. Definitely resisted arrest. He clearly wasn't a good kid, and likely was headed to a lot more criminal activity going forward.
2) The shooting was an accident -- not premeditated or based upon racist motives.
3) Daunte didn't deserve to die for this, and this was a tragedy, despite him being a less-than-stellar human being, and despite his resisting arrest. It's not like Jacob Blake, who was a violent piece of shit, and deserved to be shot while going for a knife in his car.
Cop should be convicted for involuntarily manslaughter. Media should be honest that this wasn't a racist killing. Rioters should be arrested and aggressively charged.
Funny you mention that...
April 13, 2021- JUST IN - Police officer who shot Jacob Blake last summer is now back on duty. "No wrongdoing," a Kenosha Police investigation found.

It is easy to have opinions when you live far away from total chaos, that’s the lib battle cry. I don’t leave my house without protection now, it is needed.
That's a great point. Many of the libs minimizing the riots are in their own suburban neighborhoods, safely away from all of it. When the rioting does appear in their area, they panic and call the cops.
How many of these "understanding" libs would be totally cool if their own business was burned down? Probably zero point zero, aside from the few who want the insurance money because it was failing anyway.
The left tends to be very "tolerant" of everything until it affects them. Reminds me of the liberal dudes who constantly scream "Transgender women are real women!", but then wouldn't be caught dead actually dating one.
