I believe its because he might be black and obviously had no father figure
A guy said something like," On a Casino Trip one day, some Dude won huge money, like $20,000 on a $5 bet. He was so ecstatic, he begun giving a bunch of random Gambling Strangers $300 a Pop, including me. I knew eventually he was going to end up broke and begging those random Gambling Strangers for his money back. Eventually, it happened. He ended up broke and begun asking those Random Gambling Strangers for his money back just like I knew was going to end up happening. They LAUGHED at him and refused to give him his money back. He looked devastated. He ended up asking me for his money back, and I actually felt sorry for him as it was clear he made a stupid mistake in the heat of the $20,000 win. I gave him back his $300 and he was grateful he got something back and left. "
This crazy Casino Story I saw personally
:) A woman won $4,000.... On a .40 bet. That's not only crazy, that's INSANE! O.O :D She won a MAJOR Progressive. Even she said in pleased shock,"I only bet .40 and got this HUGE win. 10,000 times her bet. She could buy a GOOD used car with only a .40 purchase! Good things can happen with Minimum bet. :)
Here you go Karen:
Here are the steps which are a program of recovery:
1. We admitted we were powerless over gambling - that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to a normal way of thinking and living.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of this Power of our own understanding.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral and financial inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have these defects of character removed.
7. Humbly asked God (of our understanding) to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having made an effort to practice these principles in all our affairs, we tried to carry this message to other compulsive gamblers.
The 12 Step Program is fundamentally based on ancient spiritual principles and rooted in sound medical therapy. The best recommendation for the program is the fact that "it works."
Gamblers Anonymous would like to indicate that we are not soliciting members. Our intention is to highlight that gambling for certain individuals is an illness called "compulsive gambling." Gamblers Anonymous provides the message that there is an alternative to the destruction of compulsive gambling and this alternative is the Gamblers Anonymous program.
Our ranks are filled with members who have recovered from the illness by stopping gambling and attaining a normal way of life. These members remain ready to help any individual who passes through the Gamblers Anonymous door.
Woman would have won a progressive jackpot but didn’t make a max bet....husband punched her right in the nose.
I read about that! But I was remiss to add that horrible story to this thread. Apparently, he had been playing Max Bet, but had to pee really badly. He had his wife give him a pee break.... While he peed, she lowered the bet without asking his permission or consent to do so. So, when he came back, she excitedly said something like,"Honey, I won $1,000 on just a $1 bet!" He looked at the screen, and sure enough, she won $1,000 on a $1 bet. Instead of being HAPPY, he punched her so hard she fell out of her chair. He was arrested for Domestic Violence.... It turns out, she would have won him a ONE million Jackpot had she not lowered the bet from Max Bet. Poor Woman who got punched when she thought she won her Husband BIG money on a low bet.
Sacre Bleu! O.O. She obviously made a MISTAKE by changing the bet to a lower bet while he peed. She was presumably just passing time while he peed and was genuinely excited when she won the $1,000. She didn't deserve to be PUNCHED for the mistake. That POS I Husband deserved his arrest. I feel sorry for her, NOT him. I remember where I first read this horrible story, a Poster wrote something like,"That idiot husband could have easily tried for a million dollar Jackpot with the $1,000 she won him. At $5 Max Bet, he could have had a base number of 200 spins to try to get the Million dollar Jackpot. Now he's been arrested for Domestic violence for punching her and lost a new shot to fet the Million dollar Jackpot. Dumbass!
The split second of extra time it would have taken the additional credits to register would have caused the rng to have been elsewhere so he wouldn’t have hit.
Something similar happened to me but it was entirely my own fault.... I was playing 50 Dragons at like $2.50 a bet and I was quickly losing my money. I went to another machine... And just MINUTES later I was told that someone won a full screen of The Dragon(Top Symbol) and won a Jackpot. :/ To quote Don't Speak by No Doubt,"Don't tell me cause it hurts." LMAO! :) :/
Here is another crazy Casino Story that I was personally involved in.
I was playing Roulette and was ecstatic that I was up. A woman rudely told me to be quiet. I politely swallowed a retort. I pressed cash out to save some of the profitted money. She took my card out of the machine and threw it down.... I was furious. I told her off for touching my card. She retorted she took my card out because I had pressed cash out. I responded Why would you think that's a valid reason for touching a complete stranger's card?
She continued to speak rudely to me and I told her that I didn't like her attitude and was three seconds away from cussing her ass out. She responded that she didn't like my attitude. I walked away angrily and went to the TITO kiosk, got the money reported her ass to Casino Staff telling them about her nasty attitude towards me her touching my card(Seriously, someone else would have knocked her ass out for that.)and that I was feeling really mad at her and they got the manager involved. They said I did the right thing for reporting her and not taking matters into my own hands. They even agreed that she shouldn't have touched my Player's Card. They said they would talk to her without pointing me put personally and would review the camera and have her under close surveillance.
The Manager soon got Player's Club to give me extra free play for the inconvenience. And the free play got me a really good win! There was at least a couple of silver linings in this story that was shaping up to be really really bad. :)
I remember a guy saying some 15 year old in the Casino begged him for slot machine money. He told the Underaged Teen to leave him alone and leave The Casino before he reported him to Casino Staff for being Underaged in an Adults Only Casino and begging for money. The boy scrammed! LMAO! :D
There was a criminal so STUPID, he robbed a well known Advantage Player.... And then went to a Local Casino like the same day or very soon after with the stolen money...STUPID....
There was this young black kid named Reggie. Everybody liked him. A player known to carry a big bankroll went into the bathroom. Reggie rolled him right there in the stall! The player came out and said “Reggie Just robbed me!” Reggie was located across the street at one of the crack motels and arrested. Absolutely crazy, because everybody knew him.
A woman said that in a Casino that still did coin operated slot machines, she was playing with a bucket of quarters when some random guy suddenly groped her breast. He was expecting her to flail her arms in shock, therefore dropping her bucket of quarters so he could steal it. However, she calmly told him,"You have 30 seconds to get away from me before I use my Supersonic Scream which will alert my 6'5, 300 pound Husband to come running to my rescue and I will not hesitate to tell him what you did to me." The Groper ran for the hills when I said that! LMAO!" LMAO! :D
Apparently, some disheveled looking Creep was punching random men in their testicles in a Casino and then running off. IIRC, he was also touching random Women's vaginas... :/ This is scary, and dangerous especially in the Covid-19 era. :/
Nevermind, decided post was better as Separate Topic.
A man said that he won $500 Freeplay in a Casino Game on stage. He went back to his game and was playing on the Freeplay when two random burly men sat on both sides of him and made uncomfortable "Jokes," that he was buying dinner for both of them. He saw a Cocktail Waitress and gave her a look of,"Help me, these guys are harassing me." She luckily understood and got those burly men away from him. He gave her a $20 for helping him out. That's crazy. I wouldn't beg some random stranger to buy me dinner just because he happened to win $500 Freeplay in a Casino Game! WTF were those Burly men thinking?
Marley commented,"Stupid!" to my post about a thief stealing an Advantage Player's money and then going to Local Casino with the stolen money.
Marley, thank you for agreeing that robbing a Well known Advantage Player and then going to a Local Casino with stolen money was STUPID. I don't know WHY the Idiot went to the Local Casino with the stolen money. If you're gonna go to a Casino with an Advantage Player's stolen money, at LEAST go to a Casino in another CITY, not the Local Casino that the Advantage Player is likely to play at!
So, last year I am in the High Limit Slots at the Seminole Hard Rock late at night. I am playing Video Poker, minding my own business, when a guy sits down in the seat next to me and says he's having a tough night at the table and shows me a gold ring he wants to sell. He starts asking me to buy it for him and before he even says a number, I waived him off and focused back on my machine. He went away. So, fast forward to January of this year, I'm in the same place and the same guy come s in and sits in the seat next to me and tells me the same bullshit story and shows me the same bullshit ring. I again cut him off and said, "This is the second time you tried this with me. Do I look like Chumlee to you? There's a pawn shop across the street."
Obviously he was either selling a fake ring or was just going to rob whoever showed interest. I mentioned it to security and they started roping off the High Limit room and limiting entrance to Elite or X players at night. Apparently, I wasns't the only one he approached.
Same thing happened to a buddy of mine except he fell for the con. My friend showed it off to us bragging about what he great deal he got. But when he took it off there was a green stain on his finger where the ring had been. It's been a decade and we've never let him live it down. Lol good times.
I was playing 1-3 in Milwaukee a few years ago and the casino use to be extremely strict about cellphone usage while in a hand. The guy to my direct left was clearly drunk and been warned several times by a dealer darrell , not to be on his phone in his hand.
Me SB-KK raise 20, BB- 3 bet 75, I rip it for 450$, BB instacalls (has me covered) and has AA. We push the chips in the middle and he picks up his phone.
Darrel says I told you to stay off your phone. Grabs the guys AA and straight to the muck. No flop, nothing, I get awarded a huge pot, the biggest of my life at the time.
The guy loses his fucking mind, screaming, screaming at me, dealers calls the floor. Floor agrees with the dealer, hands dead the guy storms off yelling fuck you to me. I sat in my chair shut my mouth counted my chips and made sure not to get kicked out. Plus I totally understand why the guy was pissed. Now Potawatomi doesn’t give AF about phones
Reminds me of a guy who said his Dad was approached by some guy who claimed he lost all his money Gambling. He offered to sell the Dad his cellphone for $40. His Dad felt sorry for him and was like,"Here's $40. Keep your phone." One hour later, he and his Dad saw the same guy GAMBLING! His Dad's sympathy turned to RAGE and DISGUST and he had to keep his Dad from really going off on the Degenerate Gambler! O.O
Some guy said that someone approached him in a Casino and claimed there was a "Hot," machine. The guy took his advice and won BIG. The "Helpful," guy demanded money from him for showing him the "Hot" machine. The Gambler was like,"Fuck off!" And refused to give him any winnings. The "Helpful ," Dude started cussing at him very loudly calling him an Ungrateful Asshole. It got REALLY nasty
Security had to Escort the "Helpful," guy off the Property . A word to the wise. If someone gives you a "Helpful," tip in a Casino and you WON, they most likely will ask you for some of the winnings.....
