If I was foolish enough to hire Marty to work for me for a month, and then something went wrong, and then I called him out on the forum about a matter closely related to the time he worked for me, then yes, I would expect the name of the place would get out.
Hut didn't just come out and say, "Marty said he would do website work for me for $500, and then stiffed me." He told a whole story centered around Marty sleeping in the Walmart parking lot and working for him for a month in his own pizzeria.
He chose to bring out the story here, and it was nearly impossible for the identity of the place not to get out, given how Lompoc isn't large, and one of many additional details would make it simple to narrow down.
This has nothing to do with "the amount of work" to redact the info. It has to do with the fact that I would pretty much have to remove the entire threads in order to remove info which could be used to identify Hut's place of work.
No, I'm not deleting the threads. No, I'm not redacting 75% of the messages in them. No, this doesn't mean anyone can feel welcome to post anyone else's personal info when I appear to not be around. No, there will never be mods here.
Anyone who wants to avoid this happening needs to simply refrain from hiring unstable PFA members to work for them. And if they do, handle any arising disputes privately.
