Let's talk about what happened...

To everyone else, I appreciate your kind words and enthusiasm for this site.

I am striving to have a fun, informative place where people can feel free to be themselves and speak their minds, while at the same time avoiding the clutter of shock/porn pictures and domination by trolls.

I'm sure there will be some growing pains on the way, as well as some degree of technical failure (I'm still seeing some server errors, for example).

My motivations for this project are exactly what I wrote a few weeks ago: My primary reason for opening this site is that I want a consolidated place on the web where people can talk about shady things happening in poker, and where visitors can find all of these stories in one place. My secondary reason is to provide a community where people can get together and talk about whatever.

I'm not interested in flaunting e-power, fighting with trolls, or promoting myself. I'm 40 years old with a young child, and really don't have time for bullshit anymore. I look forward to seeing this site grow, and seeing what it can become.

The reason this place exists at all is because NWP existed. Otherwise you (Todd Witteles) would be just another opinion on 2plus2. You can't hide from that fact. This forum and your entire reputation was built from forums filled with degenerates, hate, spite, humour, rollings and scams. Everyone who has tried to build their own forums subsequently has failed because its either too much of a circle jerk (due to the owner) or filled with too many weirdo catastrophes who make stupid posts.

DD/NWP worked because it had a balance of people with opinions and vicious trolls. Its what keeps a forum healthy. Think about it before you start wielding the Hebrew hammer again.

In my experience people like Razor only change their ways after feeling the full force of the iron fist, good luck in dealing with these troublemakers Druff.

I have ran a forum, dealt with affiliates, ran forum tourneys with leaderboards and prizes, AND RAN LIVE RADIO SHOWS WHILST PLAYING IN THE RADIO GAMES. I distributed t-shirts and chip sets, and gave out hella online $$ via my own pocket. I am qualified to discern a good forum owner, from a bad one.

I never once forgot to give member shout-outs to the winners. Why? Because it was easy and the members seemed to like it.

I also dealt with troll after mindless boring troll. So Baron Von Dumbfuck and his lack of reading comprehension (in all 8 languages he speaks lol) can fuck off. Stuart, you can ask your sister for another picture that you can rep as your girlfriend. Lets hope Micon does not have any nudes of either of you, in case you ever piss him off.

My motivations for this project are exactly what I wrote a few weeks ago: My primary reason for opening this site is that I want a consolidated place on the web where people can talk about shady things happening in poker, and where visitors can find all of these stories in one place. My secondary reason is to provide a community where people can get together and talk about whatever.

I'm not interested in flaunting e-power, fighting with trolls, or promoting myself. I'm 40 years old with a young child, and really don't have time for bullshit anymore. I look forward to seeing this site grow, and seeing what it can become.

I have ran a forum, dealt with affiliates, ran forum tourneys with leaderboards and prizes, AND RAN LIVE RADIO SHOWS WHILST PLAYING IN THE RADIO GAMES. I distributed t-shirts and chip sets, and gave out hella online $$ via my own pocket. I am qualified to discern a good forum owner, from a bad one.

I never once forgot to give member shout-outs to the winners. Why? Because it was easy and the members seemed to like it.

I also dealt with troll after mindless boring troll. So Baron Von Dumbfuck and his lack of reading comprehension (in all 8 languages he speaks lol) can fuck off. Stuart, you can ask your sister for another picture that you can rep as your girlfriend. Lets hope Micon does not have any nudes of either of you, in case you ever piss him off.

Disagree with this - I loved every minute of the infant through toddler years. There is always something new and amazing happening - every day! And it's all fantastic. I wouldn't have missed a second of any of it for all the money on the world.

Everyone wants old nwp back, but it's not coming back, and everyone knows it, and yet everyone still compares everything to nwp and how this place (or whatever forum you want since the fractures) should do this because nwp did this and so on...

Let this place develop into whatever its going to be. It ain't nwp, and you know todd doesn't want it to be nwp, and yet still everyone tries to make the comparison. Its kinda silly.
