think it comes down to this...if you have it spend it, if you don't cobble it together...the TB/KCs of the world need to find a guy in their organization who can have some plus pitch (fastball/slider/cutter) that can put guys away and go with him and ride it out...
teams like the dodgers and Yankees can spend like a coked out Charlie sheen and give the jansens and chapmans of the world 10-15MM a year to close...if it doesn't work out, oh well...
