Depends on the market... When they first arrived in our market, it was 8 years old or newer, then it bumped to 10, then 12.... I think I've heard some markets with as many as 15 years on the vehicle.
Uber is growing way too fast. I can't tell you how many people I know who used to love Uber because they were getting a ride in a clean car with a normal human being, but now actually despise them.
I personally only use Lyft now, at least they allow an in-app tipping for their drivers. They also seem to do a better job vetting their drivers IMO. Just based off the dozen or so rides I've had with them.
