if a US commercial aircraft was actually shot down, it would be like 9/11 and the US public would overwhelmingly be behind annihilating iran and it might lead to the end of their regime. i don't care who shot it down. the neocons would blame iran either way and goodbye iran.

this, of course, would likely fuck us in a million ways going forward, including inviting more terror attacks, completely destabilizing the region, the return of ISIS, much greater influence of russia and china in the middle east and the world, and the worldwide economy crashing.
