Obviously this being a public forum people can say what they want. I may be a bit biased because it seems like all the blowback mainly hits Druff & me to a lesser extent. This is clearly a personal issue between these two and in my eyes not relevant to this thread.

That license plate is interesting. Nevada does custom plates for like $20, last I checked.

If he did need to get a plate, then the car isn't leased. That brings up the question who owns the car. Clearly Chrissy didn't have the money to purchase it. That would bring us back to the possible co-signing by Stacy's daddy, except it might be a financed sale instead of a lease.

So Chrissy probably has car payments, and Stacy's dad is backing it up with his signature. Chrissy might figure that he can make the payments because he can always just run a last minute "special" to scrounge up the money whenever it comes due.

In most states (If not all), the Owners name and address is not provided with a Vehicle History Report. The most well known provider being CarFax. They do provide dates when ownership was transferred.

I clicked on the above link, towards the bottom of the page it states that it is illegal in the state of Nevada to provide this information with a “Vehicle History Report” inquiry.

How can we see who the legal owner of this vehicle is? In most states they have “DMV Partnerships”. These are businesses that need to access the legal owners of vehicles to conduct business. The most common are Insurance companies, car dealerships, and Lein services. These companies either pay a flat monthly fee or a fee per each pull. Its obviously against the law for these companies to provide this information to anyone outside their scope of business.

As we know, anything can be bought for a price. Someone knows an insurance agent that can get this info for us. Even if they sell insurance in a state outside of Nevada, their company likely has access. So whoever gets this info, make sure you hide any identifying info that can lead back to the agency or person that pulled the info. You know Chrissy likes to sue. Just make sure it shows only the needed information of the legal owner on file.
