I've been thinking about this, and I think it's likely Biden is semi-innocent of this, but not completely innocent.

First off, Tara Reade is batshit crazy. That should be obvious by now. Nothing she says can really be trusted. She's already contradicted her past statements lots of times.

Note that even Tara Reade's ex-husband of 25 years ago seems to be afraid of her, and is refusing to comment upon those papers he filed in 1996. He even said that it was a difficult chapter in his life, and one he doesn't want to relive. He clearly doesn't want to say anything to set her off again.

Also, nobody else has accused Biden of sexual assault, in his long career. Inappropriate touching and general creepiness? Sure. We have seen it on video countless times. But it seems like it stops there. You'd think by now we'd have heard from women sexually assaulted by Biden (as we did with guys like Cosby and Weinstein), but we haven't.

However, we can't ignore some other facts:

- For 25 years, she has been telling people a story of being sexually harassed in Biden's office, including to her ex-husband.

- Her mom called Larry King in 1993 about the matter.

- Biden is acting very funny about finding and releasing records on her employment. He claims to be cooperating, but is stopping short of releasing everything, and it's very suspicious that he made an information request from the Senate which ended up getting rejected -- something he probably knew in advance.


My theory?

Something did happen in a hallway in 1993, but not what Reade is alleging. I'm guessing Biden was his usual creepy self, maybe grabbed her and was sniffing her hair and telling her how pretty she was, and she flipped out. She told her ex that she "struck a deal with the chief of staff" of Biden's office, as part of leaving her position. That part is probably true. She likely complained about Biden to his chief of staff, the person probably told her not to worry, and it was just Biden being Biden. Tara didn't accept this and kept pressing and was threatening all sorts of legal action, so they came to some kind of agreement where she was paid some hush money, and sent on her way.

If it really went down like this, I'm sure Biden remembers her and the incident. However, he probably doesn't want to admit to it, because it's hard to say, "Well yeah, I sniffed her hair and told her she was pretty, but I didn't put my fingers in her. She's making that last part up for dramatic effect."

It's one of these cases where the truth will make it more likely for people to believe the lies, so his advisers probably just told him to deny the whole thing, and to use the "it's been 27 years" excuse if the records of what really happened are unearthed.

He's probably also hoping that those records were lost (or never permanently stored) from all that time ago.

Anyway, her story just doesn't add up, but neither does Biden's denial and weird avoidance of getting records which could exonerate him. Truth has to be somewhere in between, which would be par for the course for Creepy Joe, who is known for being touchy and inappropriate, but not a rapist.

People forget that Blasey-Ford made over a half million on her go-fund me page. People were actually dumb enough to believe her and actually donate their money to her, which she gladly accepted. It was a high tech rolling for sure.

2) she's obviously crazy going by what we're learning of her now

3) the obama campaign vetted biden and had never even heard of this allegation

4) reade waited until now to say this. why didn't she say it when there were other democratic candidates running and another candidate could be selected? was the wound still too fresh then?

all of this suggests this is politically motivated

Hitting on her is just saying, "Hey, you're hot, would you like to go out later?"

I imagine Biden probably engaged in some unwelcome touching and probably some sniffing, too.

Far cry from what Reade is alleging, and no big deal compared to what we've seen already on video of him much more recently.

But fully innocent would mean that he never touched her at all and she's completely fabricating everything. He likely did SOMETHING creepy to upset her so much back then.
