It would not surprise me in the least if Trump gets the lead next week after Biden stammers through his speech. This party is bat shit crazy. This is not Bill Clinton's party from 1990s when the Democrats attracted lunch pail Union workers. This is a party of coastal elites and the completely disenfranchised (i.e. losers). It is no longer the party of the middle class, these people don't give a shit about the guy making $70,000 in an oil field, in fact they hate that guy.
