*** Official Flying Stupidity Wagering thread ***

I was looking at my betting history today and I didn't see my Colorado +124 bet. I got really pissed because this meant a slight winning day turned into a loser. I bet it when tired, so I didn't have a clear memory of it confirming. Ugh.

I kept looking over and over, but didn't see it. I complained about this out loud next to my girlfriend, who got stressed listening to me.

Then I noticed that the book listed it a different way because I bet on a subplatform they provide, and for whatever reason it just has the resulting payout but not the game listed. So there was indeed no Colorado +124 listed, but I did get paid for the win, which is what matters.

I'm so glad I noticed that because it was about to ruin my day.

Nicky Pipes was right. Hard to bet against the Rays, especially when not getting a dog line.

It’s funny you should say that. I did get a dog line last night. A bet made on a prayer involving Tampa regression and the observation that Yankees were scoring and Tampa were not last few games.

Last minute:

Cleveland (Quantrill) vs Angels (Detmer) - Under 8 +100

Detmers has weird stats. He's 0-3 with a 5.10 ERA, and gave up a lot of hard contact so far.

Usually not the guy I'd want on one side in an under.

However, somehow his stuff has been much BETTER in 2023 than before. His results should be considerably better. They're just... not. But I don't expect this to last if his stuff remains good. I'm picking today's game for Detmers to pitch considerably better.

Detmers looking good so far like I thought. Sadly Quantrill is having a bad game, and it's 3-0 Angels in the 3rd. Toss up so far whether this wins.
