so quarantining shit outside for 72 hours is futile; some labs are seeing it last 9-28(!!) days in this weather.
ive purchased some UV sterilization lamps as well as a space heater. ill be quarantining all mail and non-perishable food and supplies in a closet at 86+ degrees f for at least 3 days.

Italy is in deep trouble. They were mostly northern Italy cases, but now cases are popping up everywhere. They’re adding cases every hour. And given the tourism to Italy, that spells major trouble. 10 northern Italian towns on lockdown for a week, as if that is the cure.
They thought they had patient zero narrowed down because he dined with first person diagnosed and had recently been to China. He had zero antibodies though. He clearly has no symptoms given he doesn’t have it. They are scratching their heads now.

I’m fully aware. There has been 70k regular flu deaths worldwide. This thing has the potential to dwarf those numbers if it breaks bad. Not saying it will, but it might.
