It's the reason PFA became the true successor to Donkdown, while Skatz toiled in obscurity.
Skatz degraded into a site run by "nobodies" with no theme, aside from Soviet-era homoeroticism.

Druff, I think you give yourself too much credit. The reason all these sites died off is because there is no potential revenue stream any longer. Yes online poker dying was part of it, but message boards are completely dead and never coming back with the social media emergence, message boards are basically Myspace now. The correct financial decision for all message boards is just to collapse and become internet compost. There is no revenue stream.
I get it, this is a vanity project, but most message board owners just went on to other money making ventures, mostly social media. I am not sure why you are bragging about being the last man standing. You have no competition. I am not sure what you are bragging about. You could close this forum tomorrow and nobody would give a shit.
for the record skatz died cuz we all realized we were turning 40 jim killed himself blake disappeared and it was basically just me and tine and we realized we were both gay and came crawling back here

I checked out Skatz years ago, but it was all inside joke stuff I couldn't really follow, so whatever. Never went back.
Also, I remember the site had some Justin Bieber nudes, and the Biebs is more well endowed than you would assume looking at his frame.
That is all.
we literally clocked your vpn from pakistan and were like nope this guys gay no inside jokes for him
The content on Skatz was absolutely the peak of all of these sites. Even with how dead message boards seem, it's actually not that hard to drive traffic to them, and I think if I revamped that site and offered free gambling and daily fantasy related shit we could even get new users - but as others have pointed out, where's the incentive?
