As you said, I doubt the vegan claim brought in any additional suckers. Definitely the Christian angle helped, and is a common one used by scammers to ensnare suckers who are also religious. This Christian angle is commonly used by African romance e-mail scammers.
Everything about Chrissy is fake -- his systems, his wealth, his Christianity, his vegan lifestyle, his happy marriage, and his heterosexuality. None of this is true.
