because the NCAA wants to run around with their heads up their asses with the sense that amateurism still exists in today's day and age in sports...Olympics did away with that shit a long time ago...NCAA would rather have the free labor than admit that these kids should get paid for creating economic value...and im not saying they should or shouldn't be, but in the strict definition of capitalism they should be...yes cost of education is some sort of payment, but in a truly free market that would undervalue the contribution of some of the athletes...
AAaannd Gold misses his 2nd easy FG of the night
<sigh>
This Portland game is razor thin.
They've been perpetually tied through 2 1/2 periods.
aaaaand just as I post that, the Blazers stop scoring and fall behind 5.
Suddenly not feeling very good about this one.
Looks like I am going to fall to 1-1. Portland could never get a lead going, despite coming back to tie or take a 1-2 point lead several times.
Right now down 4 with 39 secs left.
:gay
That MIN/ATL game was pretty amazing.
Almost came back from a 30 point halftime deficit to win, and finally fell apart in the final minutes and lost by 10 anyway.
I totally would have gone with the -11 Atl halftime bet but I was on the road at the time and couldn't bet it.
Cutler is God
Cutler > Rivers OBV
Jeremy Langford looked solid tonight but he's still no Forte.
Chargers have taken so many injuries the past two weeks it's quite sad.
5-0 in the MNF props I bet tonight so I'm feeling good today. I also spent $2 at dinner just for lolz on keno and hit for $50 which isn't amazing by any means but normally I'm just donating so that was nice.
You won't catch me touting sides and totals often in here. That said.
over 52.5 in the Toledo game tonight seems to good to be true. 52.5 between two random MAC teams seems like a good number let alone Tol/CMU.
I think Stanford is going to fucking curb stomp Oregon this weekend. I'm talking by 30+. This is at home, vs a huge rival and is likely the last chance before the pac 10 championship game to make a statement for a playoff spot. I think the coaches play this one to KILL.
Edit - OK the tree still has ND on the schedule. That's probably more of a statement game.
Total up to 54.5 and climbing.

If you can get these lines bet them asap
thanks for the sexy picks guys
GL to you guys on that Toledo/CMU over but those teams have played in more games this year that have been under 54 points total then over so who knows.
Toledo games have had more scoring as of late so hopefully that will continue.
Raptors -8
Hornets/Wolves Over 200
Celtics/Bucks Over 202.5
Thunder/Wizards Over 216
Lakers/Heat Under 200
Even though that TWolves line looks too good to be true I'm not betting them tonight. Probably a letdown spot for them.
They said Beal isn't going to play in Washington most likely. That OKC bet might be a good one. Same with Charlotte maybe. I just don't feel like betting against the Wizards or Wolves.
