Razor Ruddock and Oliver Mccall? WTF?
Maybe Riddick Bowe for post Tyson heavyweights, but c'mon.
Well, in his defense, that little white guy is Charlie Zellenoff (a "pro" boxer with an 0-1 record). A complete psycho that harassed the shit out of Wilder on Twitter and Facebook, called him racists names and talked VERY badly about Wilders young daughter. Then Charlie Z showed up at Wilders gym talking shit to him. He pretty much had it coming.
Charlie is a bit of a youtube celebrity. He actually worked his way into a sparring match with Mayweather Sr. Sr. kicked the shit out of him and then as Sr. walked away, Charlie jumped up and sucker punched the shit out of him.
It's a fucking miracle that no one has put a bullet in his head.
I agree that Vitali was beating Lennox at the time of the stoppage. But we really don't know what was going to happen from that point on. That eye was nasty as hell. That also wasn't Lennox at his best. Not even close. If a past prime Lennox had that much success, it's fair to assume that prime Lennox gets the job done a bit better. Style wise, I like his match up with Wladimir better than against Vitali.
Does anyone know of an archive of betting lines for past fights? bestfightodds.com has one for mma, but I've not yet come across one for boxing. Recent fights, historical fights, whatever, I'd be interested in either, if anyone knows a place.
Oddsportal used to. But now every time I click on a link, it says page not found.

So JMM and Hex, what's happening with Terrance Crawford? He's had some good fights on the HBO. Who are his possible big name opponents in the future?
Floyd Mayweather Jr.: No Manny Pacquiao Fight Deal Until Bob Arum Gets Out Of The Way
http://www.inquisitr.com/1775265/flo...-talks-no-dea/
Quote:
Prospects for a Floyd Mayweather, Jr., vs. Manny Pacquiao fight happening in 2015, which appeared highly positive just days ago when Pacquiao said he had agreed to all of Mayweather’s terms, now suddenly look bleak, as Mayweather and his camp appear to be waging a campaign to push Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, out of the talks for the fight.
Arum promoted Mayweather’s fights until 2006, but Mayweather parted ways with Arum on acrimonious terms. Mayweather paid $750,000 to get out of his contract with Arum, then in 2008, filed a lawsuit that claimed Arum shortchanged him on his cut of the purse from two major fights.
Arum countered by claiming that he was withholding the payments until Mayweather forked over cash that the fighter owed to Arum’s company, Top Rank.
Mayweather also alleged that Arum had deliberately held back his career, and refused to finalize a deal for Mayweather to fight Oscar De La Hoya — another former Arum client who had a bitter split with the promoter — in 2007. Mayweather and De La Hoya fought in one of the top-grossing fights ever, after Arum, pictured below, was out of the way.
Now Mayweather, whose rift with Arum has never been healed, wants the same thing to happen for the proposed Pacquiao fight.
Appearing on the online hip hop interview program, The Whoolywood Shuffle — hosted by DJ Whoo Kid — Mayweather broke his silence regarding the Pacquiao fight talks, claiming that he “absolutely” wanted to make the fight with Pacquiao, but there’s no deal on the table yet, and may not be as long as Arum’s company is involved.
“I’ve been saying this for a long time, Pacquiao has no say because he fights for Top Rank Promotions. He’s not in a position to call the shots right now. He’s not the A-side. I have Mayweather Promotions, it’s my company,” said Mayweather, whose 47-0 record could face its greatest threat in Pacquiao.
“He has a boss, it’s called Top Rank Promotions, not Pacquiao Promotions,” Mayweather continued.
“We’re trying but its been extremely difficult. I don’t want to point the finger at Pacquiao, it’s not him, it’s his promoter.”
In Los Angeles, Mayweather strength coach Alex Ariza — who formerly worked for Pacquiao — reiterated Mayweather’s position.
“It’s not going to happen. We’re fighting May 2nd but it’s not going to be Manny Pacquiao… Hopefully eventually Bob Arum will blow away in the wind or whatever. As soon as we get rid of him, we can get it on.”
But with Arum firmly entrenched as Pacquiao’s promoter, that situation appears unlikely to change, and Pacquiao said this week that he would “move on” if Mayweather did not sign a contract to fight him by the end of January, with top British contender Amir Khan mentioned as a likely opponent if the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight falls apart.

Is Bob Arum the new Don King?
How much money has he robbed from Pacquiao?
GGG is God
Tried to say this in the rep comment, but the shit submitted too early for whatever reason.
Mayweather didn't say no fight as long as Arum is involved. Ariza said that. Mayweather is just saying that Arum is to blame, and babbling on about the same "I'm my own boss" bullshit. Either way, if they don't make this fight happen this time around, you won't see me defend Mayweather or Pacquiao ever again. They can both go fuck themselves.
I hate when websites put misleading titles on their articles.
Recent Bible quote from Paquiao in their war or words,
""For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
This guy doesn't care about the money anymore. He fights for an entire country.
Mayweather will duck again. Manny even agreed to a 60/40 split in favour of
Gayweather.
According to good old Bob, there is a contract. One way or the other, you have to admit Pac and Arum are destroying Mayweather in the public arena, and have done a pretty masterful job of backing him into a corner.

Quote:
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum insisted that all of the terms and conditions of the involving the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather have already been sorted out amidst people from “The Money Team” claiming otherwise.
Mayweather, among others, accused the 83-year-old promoter of being the hindrance to sealing the said negotiations, but the latter opined differently.
“The latest is…everything is agreed to. We’ve been negotiating this for four weeks, more than four weeks. We’ve finally reached an agreement on all points,” Arum told ESNEWS.
“The lawyers are circulating documents, and everybody is acting very, very positive about the fight happening, with the exception of Mr. Mayweather, who has his own agenda.”
Pacman’s speed, coupled with his awkward style, have done great damage to most of his opponents throughout his career, and Arum believes that it might be for the aforesaid reason that the undefeated American is continually preventing the fight from pushing through.
“Don’t you understand, to have a fight happen you need two fighters,” he continued.
“Now I know we got one fighter and that’s Manny Pacquiao. The other guy, I’m not sure of…because I really have always had doubts whether he would fight Pacquiao.”
“Mayweather is one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time, [but] he has trouble with a fast southpaw who can punch.”
Should the said talks fail to materialise, Amir Khan is perceived to be the next best option for the 36-year-old Filipino. However, Arum wants to keep his lips sealed, at this juncture.
“We get another opponent, obviously. But we’re not gonna discuss any of that until after January 31st,” he intimated.
“I am optimistic that the fight can happen. I am not going to do anything to prevent it from happening.”
“I’m all onboard with Les Moonves, Richard Plepler. All the adults want the fight to happen, and I think [Al] Haymon is onboard. Pacquiao and [Michael] Koncz are onboard.”
“So we’re just waiting for him.”
Arum urged the public to do their share, using the internet, to convince Mayweather that it’s time to rise up to the challenge.
“I think that they should bombard the internet send Twitters and Instagram, whatever they have to do, [and say] Floyd sign the damn contract,” he said.
Could have Pacquiao in his future, possibly by the end of this year but likely by next year. His next fight could be against Algieri for a vacant 140 belt, which would be an interesting fight. And I would say that if anyone might have a shot against Pacquiao, it's Crawford.
Oh, Mayweather definitely is looking awful in all of this. I mean, he's even got me wondering if he wants the fight or not. I still stand firm on my belief that, without Arum, they probably would have fought a trilogy by now, but Mayweather isn't looking to good at the moment.
Not really surprising, though. On one hand you have Bob Arum, who attended Harvard Law. Incredibly smart individual. On the other hand, you have Mawyeather, who couldn't read a cue card on the radio. Arum pretty much talks to anyone who puts a mic/recorder in his face. Floyd only talks to FightHype, because Ben puts the questions on a tee for him. When Mawyeather tries to address the media, he will almost always dig himself into a hole. Talking in circles, contradicting something he's already said. Pretty much every time he opens his mouth, he says the wrong shit.
There pretty much still can't be a contract for him to sign, though, because HBO and Showtime haven't come to terms. And when they do come to terms, Mayweather apparently has to sign off on it, for whatever reason. If there were a contract with Manny's name on it, Arum would have that shit plastered all over ESPN.
I like Over Rounds -10.5 at -155 and Rios to win decision +230 tonight; Rios isn't the most talented but he has a granite chin.
Bob just got bitch slapped by Showtime...

And now, in addition to his NBC series of boxing shows, Al Haymon will be giving us a once-monthly (on Fridays to compete with Friday Night Fights) boxing series on Spike. The first fight will be Andre Berto-Josesito Lopez (another Showtime-quality fight, on basic cable no less). Coming soon: Haymon series on CBS and BET. What Haymon is doing is the most important thing to happen in the sport in many years - 100 times more important than who Floyd Mayweather's last two or three shitty fights will be against. (He'll be fighting Miguel Cotto in May or June - the Pacquiao fight is not going to happen.)
Berto and Lopez, hell yes. That's gonna have some fireworks.
As for Mayweather, I'd say you're right. It's probably gonna be Cotto. Which I fucking hate. I can't even explain how much I hate it. I'd rather it be Khan. 1, because fight week will be sick as shit. And 2, I think Khan with the jab and speed present a few problems (for a couple of rounds). We already know how the Cotto fight goes. And probably for a 160 title at a catchweight of like 156.
Speaking of fireworks. Canelo/Kirkland? Holy shit. For however long it lasts.
Mayweather and Pacquiao are both at the Miami Heat game tonight. Mayweather walked up and initiated conversation at halftime. Kevin Iole says "talks were good"

I am not a big fan but here is a good article on Floyd's crazy baller lifestyle:
New Tell-All Book Describes Floyd Mayweather's Absolutely Insane Spending Habits And Lifestyle
By Brian Warner on January 25, 2015
- Floyd even takes his own silverware (usually gold or platinum engraved) to restaurants when they eat out.
- When they travel, his entourage flies in their own private jet, because Floyd is worried that his bodyguard's weight will make his plane unsafe.

I've almost finished reading her book. It takes a couple of chapters to get into the good stuff, but it's still a pretty good read.
She basically describes him as OCD, and obviously driven by money. Both of which offer a little insight into why he's obsessed with controlling every aspect of his contracts, and also why he's so obsessed with being undefeated. I'm sure a lot of it is because he's a power tripping asshole, but still just another way to look at it.
You never know. Pacquiao's 'close friend" says "It will happen on May 2nd."
Mayweather visited Pacquiao's hotel to talk privately about the fight.

Not only did Manny and Floyd meet face-to-face since the basketball game, it's now been revealed that Bob Arum and Al Haymon have been in the same room to discuss the fight (with Les Moonves), which is really huge news considering how much those two hate each other's guts. Maybe this fucking fight is somehow actually gonna happen. Think how unbelievably fucking exciting it would be if this fight were to actually get made for May 2. Holy shit.
Yes, Oscar said that the one fight they would move for is May-Pac, but then of course they would have to.
Arum says a deal for the fight is imminent. He's never said anything like that before. I think the fight is going to happen on May 2. I cannot fucking believe it. When they officially announce this thing, I'm gonna lose my fucking shit. Will be the biggest sporting event of my life x 100.
The fucking fight is fucking on. TMZ is reporting it, and that's good enough for me. Holy fucking god, it's going to happen.
bukowski72: put up a real hex post... the skatz mafia is done
a) I literally have absolutely no idea what the above means.
b) Dan Rafael is saying TMZ has no idea what they're talking about, so I may have jumped the gun a bit. Still looks like it will eventually get made for May 2 though.
Jalen Rose who is apparently close with Mayweather said that if you were planning on going to the kentucky derby that you should probably want to cancel those plans when he was asked about the pac/may fight.
I'm still 50/50 on the existence of "God", but if Pacquiao KO's Mayweather that will be the tipping point in my spiritual quest.
Only if the fight ends in K.O.
If the fight goes to the judges score cards it unfortunately favors Mayweather.
The scoring system in boxing needs to change, they should award more points to the aggressive fighter who is creating action and award less to the fighter who just hits and runs his ass around the ring.
