No O/U picks today.

I would have picked Toronto -7 against Lakers, but they are without DeRozan, so their performance is kinda unpredictable. That's the reason I also won't be taking the over. Just going to pass on that game and watch how Toronto looks without him, as he will be out a month or more.

DWade is coming back today, so I like Miami -3 -115 against NY. New York is bad (4-13), and much like when Westbrook came back to OKC, I can easily see a beatdown here against NY. If Wade were coming back against a tougher team, I think the impact would be less, but these guys really want to make a statement upon their return from a long absence, and it's far easier against an opponent that sucks. Note that Carmelo is not likely to play today for NY.

I am staying away from the O/U, most notably because the Knicks have struggled to score in Carmelo's absence, but at the same time the 188 total is on the low side considering Wade's return, so I'm just going to skip the O/U here.

I took Miami -3.5 anyway because the Vegas line moved to that, so at least I'm not losing value over the actual line.

Wish I could have gotten -3 but that was not available on Bovada from the time I started looking.

I really didnt understand why everyone liked NE. Even all the local sportswriters picked them to win. After Philly killed Dallas in Dallas I thought GB would win easy. The more I thought about it the more times I bet on them. makes up for my Balt-5.5 blowing it and NYGs being the NYGs.

Todd - you seem to have a good feel for how a game "should" play. Have you thought about branching out to NBA props? I've done great over the years with NHL and NFL props and the most important part to prop success is identifying spots where a player will out/under perform the mean.

Now 12-12-2 on my NBA bets. Better than that on picks I've posted but not bet, but I'm only counting the ones I bet.

Yup, 17-0 then Calgary gave up a gift near the end of the first half to go into the locker @ 17-7.

Then they totally dominated the 3rd but only scored a FG to make it 20-7 going into the 4th & then sat back & almost lost outright & would have if Hamilton didn't get a punt return TD called back in the last minute for illegal block. By this time I was openly cheering for Calgary to completely choke & lose outright because they weren't gonna cover by this time unless something stupid happened.

What a terrible brand of football that is. That game was frustrating to say the least.

I was watching with my gf, the halftime show in particular I found myself saying to her "there wasn't one tit in that whole halftime show."

She didn't get what I was saying and said imagine dragons are good.

This whole season has been the least entertaining I've ever seen it. It was always run & gun, last team to score wins 38-35. Games where both teams would score 40+ were routine.

Lots & lots of low scoring boring games, just like yesterday's, this year.

Any thoughts on MNF? I kind of like the idea of player props more than the game itself tonight. Although I haven't looked at them.

I would imagine we get two consecutive unders on primetime?

Heat back to back on the road, and honestly struggled last night to put away a bad NY team.

Washington is 10-5 so far this year.

The line is only -5 for a few reasons:

1) Washington has had a soft schedule, so the 10-5 record is a bit misleading
2) DWade is back

BUT

- DWade coming off injury is forced to play back to back on the road.
- Washington lost their other game against Miami and will be out for revenge
- Miami still getting used to DWade back in the lineup, and that was clear last night against NY. Team looked out of sync.
- Back to back on the road, can't stress that enough

Wiggins has had a nasty virus, might be out tonight.

Clippers are finally on a roll, I don't see how Minnesota sticks with them.

Being an American I am using Bovada. Checks have come in ~10 days and no problems.

chalked up a lose on Calgary. they looked to have been covering most of the game, until the end.
