I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I've fielded a lot of questions from Jasep about Wordpress and related technical things, and he's not very savvy with that stuff. With a standard phpBB installation, he'd have to go into the SQL database (which he certainly has no idea how to do) and decrypt all the passwords (which is extremely difficult, if not borderline impossible).

It would be easy to jack everyone's passwords if he did some sort of custom installation and saved them all as plain text, but again, that's beyond his abilities. And he probably was too cheap/broke to pay any smart people to do that.

Also, he didn't pay his hosting bills, so those databases are long gone anyway.

This is 100% true, when he switched to the "super server" aka leeched my bandwidth off LLPR, he couldn't figure out how to connect to my site with edcast, let alone figure out an IP address so he could "mask" him using it (his javascript player that was embedded). So for him to hack everyone's private keys would be way above his level of knowledge...

I feels ya, but in situations like this I'm a pretty firm believer in Hanlon's Razor. Like Pikachar pointed out, Juan couldn't even figure out how to cover his tracks with the radio server. Anyone could have seen that he was leeching of LLPR by glancing at the page's source code, which I think I actually did when I poked around there at his request. It was kind of funny, but I didn't know at the time that Chinamaniac and Brandon were paying for a fictional server.

There's lots of little examples like this of leaks in Jasep's game. Too bad nobody was looking close enough to spot them. I don't buy that he did any of it intentionally to play dumb. In fact he often did the opposite, trying to give himself the image of an intelligent, creative, baller pickup artist with an 11" dick.

If he had the knowledge and skill to steal passwords, he wouldn't need to ask for my and others help (nor would he take such a risk), he wouldn't have settled for a mere $10k score with the BAP and charity fraud, and he certainly wouldn't be grinding ChaCha for nickels right now.

Jasep may be a low level amateur scammer but he knows how to pick suckers including Brandon,China, myself, although I got refunded from paypal but i was still a sucker and i am ashamed of being fooled, the first time i saw his picture my jaw dropped and i knew instantly, in addition Jasep found a perfect patsy in 22Q.
I feel for anyone that lost real cash money to that scumbag, not lost prop bet winnings, i only have myself to blame but when Jsaep had supporters with good rep's plus partners with Brandon and China plus Druff not saying jack shit, not even questioning Jasep until it was too late, definitely contributed to Jasep sucking in a lot of forum members, with no inside knowledge, who figured, "well Jasep must be legit if all these well respected forum heavies are in Jasep's corner"

It sucks that forum members got rolled by Jasep, but those were gambling people, and they knew that the money could be lost. But this bastard stole from a charity that supports sick kids. Hopefully, but doubtfully we will see a recent mug shot of him soon.

Bubbles everyone knew they were taking a supposedly calculated risk in a gambling investment so if Jasep actually played and lost half everyone would have to agree the guy sucks at the pokerz, take a loss but get half their money back, the problem is Jasep never played

any php based authentication solution can be trivially modified to dump logins & passwords into a flat file, for example.

i 100% agree with your assessment overall but snarfing passwords from a site in real time is hilarisimple.

So shortbuspoker/RACIST_TIM flipped me off and left the forum when he felt I was mistreating Jasep by allowing the discussion about his potential scamming. (This was when it wasn't widely accepted yet that Jasep was a scammer.)

Now that the truth has been out for months, why is shortbuspoker still gone?

I think he used most of the money for bills/life stuff and kept a few buy ins around for the daily tourneys, hoping to catch some scores. This is why you have him talking about winning $1k in nl cash one day and just before payment is due he dumps it all back. He had mentioned that he wouldn't ever play tourneys unless he felt he was up big enough to do so.

They videos of Jasep in the casino parking garage were HOF. He certainly was a pro at something just it wasn't poker it was being a professional habitual liar who actually believed the bullshit he spewed that had others believing it too.

true but i think the 1K win was a panic lie to show results the day before the payout then the next day he realized if he did paid out his roll would be too small to even have a few buy ins even for the daily tourneys, with no hope of catching some scores, to keep his charade going. that was the point that pissed everyone off enough to start looking deeper into the real Jasep plus JoeU deciding to stop by and rail him finished Jasep off because he couldn't lie his way out of it, so in essence Jasep wasn't even rolled properly to be a good scammer
