This is not uncommon here to make rediculas uncollectable bets on this site. That being said this bet is much more cut and dried than most, likly Barry has lost as the area of Russia were these men are from is mostly Muslim and the people there have been subject to what I would call ethnic cleansing for many years. These people are well known for being hardend battle redy fighters, not a great place to grow up in to say the least. And even if a small percentage of these people decide to do a act of terrorism out side of there own country, there could be a lot of trouble I think.Quote:

Anal wins the bet obviously, and I doubt Barry would disagree as he really doesn't need an excuse to donate anyways, it's his nature, and he knows the type he meant, and the type Anal meant, and this is the latter, albeit with a twist. If he wanted to wait until they pulled a verified youtube, or something concrete to their allegiance to the cause, that would be understandable. I think it's pretty conclusive the elder brother was radicalized, and took little brother along for the ride. There is no scenario where Anal loses at this point.
What is amazing to me is that this younger brother seems to be largely a blank slate. All these kids interviewed today, all these teachers, his coach, his acquaintances at college, not a one seems to really know him. What they knew, they liked, but they didn't really know shit. And it's not like he is some sleeper agent, just kind of isolated. Dad back in the stans, estranged from his extended family, no real close friends who even knew he had a brother, barely knew where he was from, or anything about him other than he seemed like a nice kid who wrestled. I'm guessing his life could have went a lot of ways, but absent any real close friends, he was likely an easy mark for his brother once he became a radical to drag into a mess. Even the video shows a serious terrorist brother, and a slacker looking younger brother along for the hijinks. I know more about 30 posters on here whom I have never met on an internet message board better than any of his friends knew about him. I know many here's politics, and marital/family situations. This kid just got lost in the shuffle from what it appears. I doubt he could recite 5 Koran verses.
Was visiting a friend all afternoon with CNN on, and I had to laugh at every mention of Chechens and how they sit at the base of the northern Caucus mountains. We get it, they're Caucasians, but their acts were still driven by Islamist ideology. I don't think in a 1000 mentions of Chechens and their various beefs with the Russians for the past 20 years, I have ever heard them described as dwellers of the Caucus mountains like today. Laughable PC language, even if factual.

I thought something similar. I listened to the scanner for 13 plus hours. They had swat all over his place (pretty sure, not 100% it was his). They were pretty sure it was booby trapped so they never entered. Seemed like they were certain he was in there possibly injured and barricaded himself inside/booby trapped it and was maybe dying and ready for his last stand. I thought that was a decent possibility, albeit small. I don't know what the sewage systems are like but that's the last place they'd look and possibly where I'd go if I didn't have any out.
Exhausted. Hope that made sense lol. I had plenty of time to think of all types of possibilities and I guess that's what I wanted to have happen. Some epic finale.
