Saying you can afford to do something, then actually doing it are two different matters. I can afford to remodel my kitchen, and it drives my wife nuts I never do it. My guess is the store never gets rebuilt. For the sole fact big box stores in cities are rarely profitable and difficult to staff. You might see a new store open in light of the riots, but it will be well outside city limits. Put up a plaque and have a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the riots, etc..
Meanwhile, here is some breaking news:

druggies including potheads need to be imprisoned
Protesters and vandals/looters are for the most part different groups.
The destruction of downtown Seattle last night had fuck all to do with George Floyd and had everything to do with with the same hard left, anti-capitalist, anti-America/anarchists from Oregon we've been dealing with for over 20 years.
In before the rational party with the guns starts shooting the emotional rioting party and the emotional rioting party claims to be victims.
Elderly White Woman beat outside her shop by these Peaceful Black Men. She posed 0 threat. No black leaders/celebs spoke out against this attack that I could see. Post if u find some.

What a fucking hypocrite.
And bottom line that’s the “big joke” that most people don’t get yet. Everyone is in favor of demonstrations. No real human being looks at that murder and says those cops shouldnt to do jail time and lots of it.
Most people will take that forward and say they are in favor of riots and looting. Then it impacts them personally and then all of a sudden it’s a serious issue caused by criminals that needs to be stopped.
Just be consistent. Ask yourself what you would do if 100 “protestors” showed up on your street. If the answer is you wouldn’t care if they burnined your house to the ground, stole all your shit and put your family in harms way then by all means support the lawlessness. Don’t all of a sudden change your tune because what you thought was hundreds of miles away is now down the street.
Put me on team stop the riots at “most” cost. I’d care very much.
Cops should be in jail .
This happen to me yesterday. I thought if there were riots in San Diego that they would be in downtown San Diego. Well the shit popped off in La Mesa which is very close to where I live. They fucked up my neighborhood Target, burned down banks etc etc. It became a very different experience for me when shit was going down so close to where I live.
thank god all these totally legitimate accounts who make a handful of posts a year here are finally stepping up to let us know how justified the police response has been.

Obama justified the Ferguson riots and the anti-police sentiment.
This ended a 23-year streak of declining crime in the US.
Nothing says "leadership" like telling an entire race of people that your own country's police are racist and have been out to get them all this time.
This is one of the most overlooked aspects of crime and punishment.Quote:

The better the lawyer, the lighter your consequence. A rich black guy is doing waaaaaay better for the same crime than a poor white guy.
It's also sexist, but in favor of females. It's a documented fact that females across the board get sentenced and charged less than their male counterparts for the same crimes. Young, pretty white females do the best.
interesting theory making the rounds; while the floyd's death was the catalyst for the protests, people realizing their jobs arent coming back is amping up the civil unrest considerably.
Many of those on the left would agree with you here. They would say that most problems of racism are actually classism. For example, some rich white people hate poor black people, but they manage to respect rich black businessmen. They would also point to the hatred of working class black people who became rich, seemingly 'undeservedly' - like football players.
I'm not sure personally where I stand on this issue, but class is a massive part of it - that's for sure.
haven't seen a bunch of white people this pissed off since friends went off the air...
bonus comment: was waiting for that chick's tit to fall out...
Tine Canadians out of work get 2k/month for 4 months max
People still working get $0.00 unless you have kids and you get some cash to help with things.
BLACK PPL ARE GOD
No Shit!!!
The police do not care who they hurt or kill.
Of course Druff will say they had it coming and that the police can do no wrong.
I was in various apartment buildings during my time in Vegas, but since I left, I've been in a house in California.
The problem is that there's no easy solution to this. I've tried to come up with one, but I can't.
You can't mandate that everyone has access to the best lawyers. In fact, that wouldn't even be possible because there wouldn't be enough "best" lawyers to go around.
Given that quality of legal representation is so huge in criminal cases, and given that there's no way to prevent the best ones from working only for clients who can afford them, there's always going to be a class gap in criminal justice, which also means there will be a race gap.
There is probably some racism in the court system, as well, but not nearly to the extent that's being accused (except maybe in some hick towns in the south). People are just confusing the classist system with a racist system, for the most part.
With that said, there really aren't that many cases where black people are unfairly convicted or sentenced. It's more of the opposite -- guilty rich people escape appropriate punishment more often than guilty poor people. Is that unfair? You bet. However, it doesn't mean that the poor people are getting screwed -- only that the rich people are getting something they don't deserve. Those are two different things.
