Gen X has been blocked from being a GOP nominee because of Trump's dominance. We will start seeing Gen X GOP primary winners once Trump is gone, unless it's Vance, who will represent a skipping of Gen X entirely.
I think the DNC may have learned their lesson with Hillary/Biden (even though Biden did win in 2020), and probably want to put forth someone younger in 2028.

We have a family member who said that Tyler didn't like Kirk or his conservative views.
And we have a high school classmate from 4+ years ago saying that Tyler was conservative back then.
That isn't "differing memories of the 22-year-old". That's consistency. He was conservative in high school, and he since became left wing.
That would be like interviewing someone who knew me in 1972, who would tell you that their memories were of me drooling and crapping my pants, and then claiming that people have "differing memories of the 53-year-old" in an article about me.
One of my Facebook accounts is in numerous active community groups in multiple cities, in multiple states. Since the height of the 2024 campaign there has been an ongoing, coordinated effort to spread posts from a few of these clearly-Dem-funded misinformation pages. They are pushing the groyper narrative harder than any one singular thing they have about even Trump besides "Project 2025". These community pages and groups are soft targets, and Facebook is clearly being manipulated to try and control discussions with the default "most relevant" setting for the comments sections. They have real accounts and bot accounts swarm the discussion on the pages they come from and treat the information as if it is fact. There's very little chance of a differing opinion being promoted in the default comments, and when they spread these to apparently every single primary community page for every single city of any real size in the entire country they are greatly benefiting from anyone trying to join the primary discussion being influenced by "groupthink"/"the bandwagon effect". Anyone who may have a differing opinion is likely to be influenced to stay silent by thinking they are overwhelmingly in the minority.

I was actually going to post about this before, glad a couple of notable X accounts have since realized the same thing I did at least about the current Facebook overdrive. Some of these posts have 100k likes. In larger cities they already have bots and real accounts joining the groups they share them to pulling the same shit in the immediate comments.

Sometimes killers of famous people are actually obsessed fans, rather than haters. The "groyper" angle is so bizarre. There is no evidence that he's a groyper, but as VaughP pointed out, they're trying very hard to push that narrative. After all, how vindicating would it be for the left if Kirk's killer was just an alt-right nutcase who hated Kirk for not being extreme enough for their his taste?
