Well that didn't work out very well.
Toronto comes out and erases the 9-point deficit at the half immediately, and takes a 2 point lead.
Bleh. Almost stayed away from that one, too. I guess it's still alive... but yuck.
At least the under is on pace to win... for now.

Yesterday I grabbed the Cavs +130 ML when they were down by 11 in the first quarter since I expected the typical Hawks choke job like they always do vs. Cavs to happen and was lucky enough to get that in the end.
I also took a punt on the Spurs yesterday when they were down by 4 with around 7 minutes left at +340. It lost but still if you are going to give me +340 with a great team to make a 4 point comeback in the last 7 minutes I'm gonna fire on that all day long.

And the very best one...on an out of bounds play the ref clearly fast counted 4 and 5. It was 1...2...3..4.5.
Took the Warriors at +2.5 down 21-7.
They were very rattled for a bit there but seem to have got a little something going.
Question- does anyone know of sports books that do not count overtime in their half time bets? Meaning you bet x amount on the under in the second half and with regulation the total is under. But it goes to overtime and it ends up going over.
In Vegas as far as I know, whether it be basketball or football overtime always is included in 2 half bets. Anyone know a book that treats second half bets differently?

Well this was awful.
I had the under 98 second half easily won, and then OT screwed me.
Then I almost bet over 109 second half of Golden State, but line changed to 109.5. Bet it anyway, but moments before I submitted, it moved to 110, so I said fuck it. Then it looked like a great non-bet, but then it went to OT and will probably win.
So unless Golden State can win by 6 or more in OT, I go 0-3.

Sadly young Benjamin cost me a second cheap OT win. I was trying to bet over 109.5 second half and it moved to over 110 when I had to jump up and grab the dog after Ben accidentally left the door open to a room where the dog wasn't supposed to be.
I told Ben to come back, but he ignored me and ran off. I closed it myself, returned, placed the bet, and it moved to 110 as the bet was placing, so it rejected.
So I decided to forget the whole thing. Was thrilled about this, as the over was behind the whole way, until it went OT.
Weird how shit like this happens.

It would be a big advantage to have a book which does NOT consider OT in 2nd half bets, along with one that does, so you can bet overs with the book which considers OT, and unders with the one that doesn't.

Then I went and looked at the Bovada's rules tonight and they include OT. Brandon then said that maybe I misremembered.
Maybe both Nitrogen and Bovada changed this recently.
If you think about it, 2nd half should really mean 2nd half, and not OT. After all, every other half and quarter bet is for only that half and quarter, so why should 2nd half be different? And if it is going to include OT, why provide the misleading 2nd half line, when in reality you're betting on an entire game line? For example, my under 98 2nd half tonight should have been posted as under 177 game, because that's really what it was. The 2nd half WAS under 98, but I still lost because the game score was 181.

As I was looking around the lines, I found where they do offer OT included under the Hockey tab. I think this change has been made recently. I recall it where you would just hit "NHL Lines" and they would be mixed in with each other which makes it very easy to click wrong bet. Got real lucky tonight. I had Washington -180 for $3600 and Ross had his worst game of the year. Had the winning run on with one out in the 9th with the heart of the order, but they couldn't come through.
Kinda chasing but not really, I was looking on WH in game and saw OKC +340 down by only two. The Spurs had the ball. Fired a bit, it hit and a $3600 loss turns into a $1500 profit day. I'm thrilled.
