what line? I see az -5.5

Had a nice night tonight in sportsbetting.
Went with LA/Miami under 7.5 because the Dodgers were fielding a fail lineup, and indeed the final score was only 3-2.
Went with Arizona -120 behind Greinke at home, only to see him give up 7 runs... but Arizona also scored 12, so it won. Not the way I expected to win, but I'll take it.
My favorite bet was Portland +150 at home versus the Clippers in game 4. No idea why it was +150. Probably because LA blew them out twice at home, and Game 3 was close most of the way. But still... we're talking about the Cliippers, and honestly they're not all that much better than Portland. Portland ended up taking it fairly easily, leading almost the entire way.
Pigs get slaughtered but I am gonna keep riding Atlanta vs power.
Red Sox -1.5 -110 & total over 8.5 -110 tonight.
Looked at books too late to bet Cubs Brewers. Similar setup. So choice.
Cubs v Braves this weekends series interests me too.
Nice job Druff. Posting after the fact is a nice touch too. (Just busting your balls)
The Greinke story is fascinating. Greinke is fascinating, period. He's gotta be completely unwound mentally.
He's very smart. The depression & anxiety might be some manifestation of how bright he is somehow.
People say baseball is a thinking man's game. They are referring to the fans. I believe being dumb is almost an advantage in baseball. In college most coaches call every pitch. Not the catcher. You shake off the coach's call and you are gonna have problems. Freshmen bitch privately. By senior year your brain has been programmed off. You just throw what you are told to throw. No brain. Ironic cause this is college and your supposed to learn how to think.
Greinke is prolly a mental mess on the mound and he has no one he trusts to do the thinking for him.
Cubs (Lester) v Braves (Blair) in 15 minutes
Hey mom, I'm making my second career start against the Cubs at Wrigley. I am gonna need my old bedroom back tonight.
Lester really hasn't been all that this year. Braves actually hit a little last night. It's a small thing for the over. Cubs will score 9 anyway.
No Kris Bryant but that just means the Cubs don't score 14.
The run line is a gift.
Cubs -1.5 -115
Over 6.5 -115
15 MLB games today and only one has no Run Line or Total available.
Yup Cubs v Braves. I so rarely stumble onto something like this Braves vs big offense ATM
Scared?
Cubs Braves finally
Over 6.5 -120 (from yesterday - 7 is fine)
Cubs -1.5 100 Ridiculous - gonna keep riding this
Westbrook under 24.5
like ive said I don't bet for shit, but MIL (-110) stuck out tonight...
weaver fucking sucks for LAA, I seriously cant believe that somebody whos is not over 40 or a knuckleballer could have an average fastball in the very low 80s...jimmy nelson for MLW isn't a world beater, but he's a much different pitcher at home and is good against righties...LAA is right handed heavy...if jimmy can get past trout I think he shuts down LAA...
betting it small because the line seems too good not to take...
im with you gl
yeah I'm no sports bettor, but just doing my daily research for DFS and weavers 'nerd numbers' are some of the worst (if not the worst) of pitchers going today...
jimmy nelson doesn't inspire a huge amount of confidence, but like I said he does pitch well at home and the angels just don't have any lefty bats outside of Calhoun to worry me...
not a hate bet, just a mispricing bet...going small too, betting a handful of Ashton Churchills on it...
if you're looking for pitchers having rough outings, look no further than my Jays.
Over 9

Horford under 8.5 Reb.
Separated at birth..... Hawks addition.
Lol at NBA Reffing at end of Spurs/OKC game
Not sure if this got posted but I forgot to do it a month or so ago but it's a year old tho

Anyways, not sure what I like for the NBA tonight. Warriors will win imo but I don't know if they will cover 9.5.
I figured the same when I saw it realtime. Definitely 3-4 fouls and 1-2 violations of some sort.
Then I saw a fan grabbed Adams too. That is lol...could you imagine if that 3 pter went in?

And even if you're pissed at Waiters, Ginobli was WAY too closer.
Norris living in his van isn't such a huge surprise.
The baseball homelessness thing builds slowly. For many it starts in college. During the summer your coach places you in a summer league.
If you are an elite prospect you might spend the summer in the Cape Cod league rooming in some millionaires summer home and laxing out on the beach during the day. The commute to away games is the next town over cause every town has a team.
For the rest, you get shipped to Wisconsin or Alaska or some other hick town. Some boondock where there is nothing for the residents to do but watch minor league baseball. The feeling of being homeless starts to set in. A lot of times there are not enough families to take in all the players. Sometimes the family really can't afford to feed a 200lb college kid with a high metabolism.
Maybe the league puts you in a fleabag hotel for the summer where you can't cook. A summer of eating Subway. Some restaurant might give food to the players after a night game. Hand to mouth shit for a 20 year old who starts to think of nothing but food and where it's gonna come from.
Been there.
In 2007 I spent 6 months at Foxwoods. I was a fixture in the world's biggest poker room during the boom. I slept in my car rather than burn my points on a hotel room. College prepared me for this and it was no big thing. I would spend $25 in points to use the spa to work out and take a shower. Ate good at the buffet.
Interesting story about Norris but no big thing.
I knew he lived in a van hearing about it last year but I didn't see this video until two months ago.
If I was making millions I would treat myself a little better but not go too extreme like some of these guys do purchasing tons of sports cars and whatever else they want, especially if my salary was only $2 mil a year vs. the guy making $20 million who can afford a bit more.
I couldn't just live out of a van like that as an athlete but they do have all the gym/spa/shower stuff available at all times to where he can stay clean for free.
Minor league guys are on the road a bunch where they are playing a lot of games within a few states radius so they might have a several hour commute and that part sucks.
Their are some horse jockeys that drive a few hours in the morning to a place for a few races and drive another couple of hours after to a night session of races. They will do this 5 to 6 days a week and to me that is very crazy, but it also shows some real dedication.
I got a million stories about stuff like this.
We a have a health club. 2 days ago one of the personal trainers pulls up. He sheepishly asks if he can borrow an extension cord. I say, "Sure" and hook him up. He has an old Hummer. He blows up an air mattress in the back. I always kinda suspected but he is living out of his car.
Guy is enormous. A steroid beast. He showers at the gym. Cooks in the kitchen.
Personal trainers are paid per lesson. Not salary. It's a tough gig. Lotta downtime between sessions. As he mumbles kinda embarrassed while blowing up his mattress I so much wanted to tell him, "I been there dude"
You hear the occasional story about kids blowing their bonus. Considering the number of kids who get drafted I think they are pretty rare. Norris prolly only cleared a million after tax and the burn rate is high.
My son is a senior pitcher on a college team that is in the top 25 ranking. He is kinda on the fringe draft-wise. He's only 6'1" and that's small these days. Elbow surgery for chips last summer.
College kids usually do some kinda internship during the summer. By this time senior year they have a gig lined up. My kid never did that. Always playing some summer league. Chasing the dream.
His reality is setting in. He is doing an 2nd interview ever today. He has no fucking clue. The subject of grad school just came up the other day. You know, grad school is what you do when you want to hide.
I see a big bill in my future.
Cubs (Arrieta/god ) -1.5 -105 vs Pirates (Niese/who cares).
Pitts struggling lately shit middle relief
Red Sox (Wright knuckleball) vs White Sox (Quintana) Over 7.5 -120
huge opposite pick. Small bet.
Wright has been stellar (lucky) Quintana is an excellent lefty - Red Sox really untested against lefties this year.
White Sox really not an offensive power.
DH
I am going with Wright reversion to the mean.
Arrieta does it again
:solidgold
Best Run Differential Through 25 Games (since 1900)
97: 1902 Pirates
94: 1905 Giants
89: 2016 Cubs
86: 1939 Yankees
Im a homer no doubt but that is insanely impressive
you can't really count 1902 and 1905 so they pretty much have crushed harder the 1st 25 games of a season harder than any team in the modern era
15 of 1st 25 games on the road
HOLY SHIT LOWRY
Raps trying another comeback here in OT. This will be legendary if they can pull it off and/or send it to 2 OT
Damn you DeRozan
It's real early to talk NFL week 1 and all sorts of shit will happen between now and week 1.
With that being said.....
Kansas City -1/Seattle -1.5 teaser is about as good as it gets.
If San Diego or Miami can go on the road in week one and beat either one of these teams they can have my money.
Took over 213.5 live betting in the first quarter for this Warriors/Blazers game. I should have just took over 210 or whatever it was before the game but I'm still fine with it.
No way was I betting this game line at 9.5 but if I feel the Warriors will get it together I might do something at some point.
Edit: They stopped scoring late mainly the Blazers but i did find a spot to bet Warriors +190 like a degen but if you are going to degen pick teams that go on runs frequently.
