I don't want that visual of Conner riding the chain in girls underwear in my brain, yikes
fake Weigh-ins start right aboot now

Iaquinta in. He missed weight by .2lbs so can't fight for the title but Khabib can. Iaquinta is in shape and legit, I like this fight. Too bad they didn't have a full camp to prepare for 5 rounds but this is pretty damn good. Iaquinta can wrestle and has serious pop with his hands.
Apparently Dana and Conor texted before he turned himself in.
Conor feels "the entire thing was justified". He feels absolutely no remorse or regrets.
Also is out on bail.
hey guys remember back in 2013 when the ufc was a thing

interesting article.
dont let this fat nerd drag u down the hole its not interesting
the main takeaway is you cant rely on a man named dana also were gonna have to start calling sonatine dana
I swear there was a part of me that seriously expected to hear that Cerrone was taking the fight
I am skeptical the other fighters were really hurt to the point they had to be pulled out of the fight. I think the UFC saw a chance to build publicity and to get some $$ from Conor which could be beneficial in a couple ways (force him to fight and to make some extra $$ on a card that wasn't going to do that well anyways).
yes im quite sure you are.
also:
The commission made the decision to pull Chiesa, in the video you can clearly see a cut on his forehand. No commission let's anyone fight with a cut like that. I am also skeptical of Borg. He had glasses on in the incident and appears to be totally fine in the video shot from inside the bus. Later that day he went to the hospital and pulled himself from the card, he may see an opportunity to make more money from a law suit but who knows.
This card was going to do incredibly well, Khabib is a big draw and it was loaded with good fights. The UFC is already promoting this shit and will benefit from it but only when McGregor faces Khabib later this year. I highly doubt the conspiracy angle.
Curious what you mean by 'get some money from Conor'? I'm also curious how this forces Conor to fight? I think just the opposite, Conor knew he will fight Khabib down the road and staged this craziness himself to start to build up that ppv. He brought his own cameramen to this stunt, he knew what he was doing. This sets the table perfectly for the largest selling MMA PPV and Conor gets paid a portion from every PPV buy.
The only conspiracy theory that even comes close to making sense is that Conor wanted to make absolutely sure he never, ever fought again.
Like, I think we are so inoculated against being shocked by Conor's bullshit that anyone discussing this objectively realllllly has to make a conscious effort to digest the breadth and scope of what happened. Because it wont happen naturally, because its really just that huge. Like when youre in a museum looking at a large painting, you get up close and you see the brush strokes and the detail but until you take 10 steps back and take it all in, you really cant 'get it'.
Nothing like this has ever happened before.
WME-IMG is going to be looking to limit its exposure; there was NO SECURITY protecting that bus. Whoever those dudes were standing around saying "BRO!" over and over when Conor was doing his thing, they either were not a security detail or they were not doing their job.
Just look at this like an HR issue for WME-IMG, and you see where this almost certainly goes.

Ray Borg was diagnosed with corneal abrasions. Way, WAY more serious than the cuts Chiesa had.
Conor didn't bring his cameramen, they were already there for the media shit, they were the ones who let him in. His cameramen literally brought him to the thing.
Also, lot of people talking about how conor got right on a plane and came over as soon as he found out about the Artem-khabib thing, I think that's 100% horse shit. He was always coming to this event IMO, both to steal the spotlight and to support Artem, like he pretty much always does.
I am laughing inside,” the Russian told MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani. “You broke window? Why? Come inside. If you real gangster why don’t you come inside? This is big history gangster place. Brooklyn. You want to talk to me? Send me location. I am going to come. No problem.”
The biggest winner in all of this is Brock Lesnar. By all accounts, he's signing back up with the UFC this week, might well face the Stipe-DC winner IN HIS FIRST FIGHT BACK (things can obv change), and he's in perhaps the strongest negotiating position of his life, a life filled with strong negotiating positions. He's gonna break the fuckin bank.
That's pretty sad for Borg, hope he's ok. Khabib had claimed Conor has his own cameramen there, weren't the MacLife guys the people who let that gang in? I didn't mean the MacLife guys were flown over by McGregor, but he obviously worked out the plan with them and made sure they were down there filming after letting him down there with the busses. There's tons of great HD footage on the ground and of course the UFC is already promoting it.
Brock is a big winner but an even bigger winner will be either Stipe or DC. Sounds like Brock gets a title shot vs the winner of that fight. DC called it 'green panty night', massive payday to fight Brock. I also think Brock is one of the easier HW fights for either guy.
Anyone gonna throw a bet at Iaquinta? He's likely to get mauled but I really think he has a punchers chance. His right hand is so fucking accurate and has a ton of power behind it. Might be a fun bet to take a shot at.
Right, I agree. Conor hatched a plan with them, made sure they were there filming the incident to hype the next ppv. Shit went too far but I believe this does nothing but make Conor a pile of money and set the table for a record breaking ppv buy rate. Dana stated that credentialed media isn't allowed down near the fighters on the busses, just the embedded crew.
somehow with half the card cancelled sonatine will still make 9 horrible bets
Kebab is not a big draw, no casual fans know who he is because he has spent most of his UFC career injured, missing weight or being muslim
The ones that do know him think he is a boring ass grappler
Apparently he's huge in Russia. I disagree about loyal fans finding him boring. I find his fights violent and awesome, most brutal GnP in UFC history. I've got a good contingent of friends who are UFC fans and train at an MMA gym regularly, everyone seems to love him and his fights in my experience.
I like Aubin-Mercier and Clark in the close early fights.
Main event does not go the distance -360

Just met Dan Miragliotta. Cool guy.
Man, time for Lauzon to call it a day. He's looked awful his last 3 fights. Hell of a career but his cardio has been shot.
Time for Joe Lauzon to hang it up. He don't have it anymore and has hung around this sport way too long.
