Yet they beat the Cubs 4 out of 5

Stros win out.

The Astros had been struggling to score on the road and won only one of six road playoff games this year. The Dodgers had not lost a game at home in the playoffs. The Dodgers bullpen hadn't given up a run in seven playoff games this year and the Astros pounced on them for six runs. They just kept coming back and the ball was flying out of the park even more so than the previous night. Eight homers between the two teams set a new record for World Series games. Verlander was good considering, but left after six innings. He only gave up two hits but both were home runs. Verlander allowed three runs total and the Astros looked like they were going to lose 3-1 like they did the previous night. An Astros run in the eighth and a homer to lead off the ninth tied the game. Back-to-back homers in the tenth gave the Astros a 5-3 lead. The Dodgers homered in the bottom of the tenth to make it 5-4 and the quieted crowd woke up and sparked another run to tie it and send it to the 11th. Again the Astros regained the lead when George Springer, one of many Astros' amazing hitters who have struggled this post-season, drove in two runs on a long ball to right-center. Down 7-5, the Dodgers tried one last comeback of their own. With two outs in the bottom of the eleventh Charlie Culberson homered to make it 7-6 right after 3rd basemen Alex Bregman snared a line drive to keep the bases empty. Otherwise, they might still be playing - and hitting bombs. Culberson celebrated running around the bases like he had already won the game, but Yasiel Puig, the showboat right fielder, who had homered in the bottom of the tenth, and slammed his glove to the turf after just missing a diving catch that would have kept Bregman from scoring the Astros' second run of the game, struck out to send the Dodgers to Houston tied 1-1 for the series. The Astros host the next three games where, guess what, they have not lost a playoff game this year. It was the Astros' first ever win in a World Series game. They were swept in 4 games by the White Sox in their only World Series appearance in 2005.
Post your own post game or in game commentary for the Dodgers, Druff
I didn't see much of a big deal regarding the Astros winning their first World Series game ever.
They actually played better last night and deserved to win, though Dave Roberts deserves some blame for yanking Hill after 4 innings for no apparent reason.
McCarthy is a failpitcher (at least right now, coming right off injury), and I knew the Dodgers were losing once they didn't win it in the 10th.
Astros are tougher than the Cubs and Diamondbacks, so the Dodgers can't just coast through this one.
The Astros ML is just a one way train
What level offers resistance? -140? Only half joking
I snoozed hoping for a pullback but it never ever dipped.
The home field thing this post season has tremendous power is all I can surmise.
This may not go back to LA if you believe this action. The post season has been one sports wagering instance where favorites and home field have killed the books.
Word is there would be trauma if not for the NFL
Turner gave that ball a ride.
Too bad it went to the deepest part of the park.
Darvish looking wild so far.
they blew this series when they lost game 2
it's all over DRUFF
why isn't grandal playing? thought he was one of the best pitch framers in the game...
cant be because barnes is such a huge upgrade offensively...
Because Grandal is an automatic strikeout when he's going bad (which has been for a few months now), and Barnes has actually been pretty good at making contact and hitting in the clutch.
So, yes, at least for right now, he's an upgrade.
I agree with the move.
I liked the Forsythe SB. Houston totally wasn't expecting it.
Too bad Dodgers couldn't get him home, but I can't complain too much because the Astros stranded a leadoff double in the 1st.
THE DODGERS MIGHT NOT MAKE IT BACK TO LA
AHAHAHA the fucking dodgers doing what the dodgers do best
CHOKING
Yu suck.
