A couple of head waiting jobs a stint as a McDonald's mngr and my last situation.
I have forgotten how good I had it..
I've been making 7k to 9k a month in salary and profit but had!! Expensive habits.
Even $20/30 a day in poker adds up. Just ask beerandpoker, he is very friendly with me and always comes to the table I'm at.. (Just kidding b&p :-)

Not trying to sound like a pessimist, but this venture has got failure written all over it. You just strike me as a guy that will quit showing up, and that $800 a day will seem like the good old days a few months from now. I hope I am wrong, but the fingerprints are all over this one and it just wreaks of a failure. Not that you are alone 90% of restaurants close 2 years after opening.

$800 isn't bad for a Monday btw. How did Tues and today so far? Thinking you'll be making most of the profit from Thurs to Sunday however if you can grab some school accounts like hut said you'd be doing just fine.
Also, how big is your war chest just in case things take longer to materialize than you hope?

Dewar s is my go to and only at night after work. Not even on my day off when I'm home. I don't even really drink anything during day time. I don't like beer.
A joint of kush or sour diesel every morning. A second joint that last me all day and and on my days off, all day! Generally while running errands or chilling with poker or cable or both.
Some night when I come home happy. I'm generally yelling at the pigeon,s and shacking my fists on Most days. Il have a couple of Martinis at home made from Crystal head vodka and whatever decent vermouth I have bought.

You can get Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough from most suppliers....if you buy the dough they will send you a cookie oven free. The cookies are really good and they are great to use if you have a screw up. They are cheap enough that say a customers pizza is taking longer than usual or there was a screw up.....I give them some cookies to manage the wait. I've also been ordering lately these pre-baked chocolate chip cookie "pizzas". They are 9" you bake them for like 3 minutes and sell for $5. Cost is $2.00. Another promo I use with success is I buy RedBox promo codes and offer FREE Redbox rentals with all carryout orders (at menu price). The codes only cost $1.25 each. Sometimes I buy packs of microwave popcorn and throw that in also and call it the dinner and a movie special. People seem to think the movie is "high value" even though if they paid for it it's still only $1.25.

There is a restaurant depot that sells food and supplies for restaurants and grocery stores. Many times those places are cheaper then distributors. You just have to physically go there your self.

I have a very old school oven in the kitchen made from cast iron. Could use some elbow grease and works well but I love New toys..

Then when I.open the ovens I realize I goto call these 10 people first and can.only accomplish 3 out of the 5
Then I realize I don't have the money for 2 out of those 3. Then.I accomplish one thing then another 400 cone to mind
Then I have to assign them priority as far as cost and benefit then when I get home I realize I should have done the first 100 things I thought about..
I'm alone dude. But fuck it.. I love the fight.
Wouldn't get into a pattern of giving away free shit like left over cookies or you're going to have a bunch of broke n-words coming in late at night looking for free shit instead of buying. Give em to the guys to take home who are working for you.

I waited tables at an Italian restaurant in college and loved it for awhile but the owners (Italians from Jersey) hated their lives and did their best for over a year to sell. Over time I saw why. Dealing with people day in, day out becomes excruciating.
I always think that places with good pizza should dump the rest of their shit (pasta, chicken dishes etc.) and just go with the pizza and maybe calzone/stromboli. I've never been to a restaurant that excelled at both pizzas and pasta dishes.
Keep it simple and affordable, and people will come back if the product is right.
I used to use a restaurant depot when I started my place. But if your going that route be careful because some stuff at certain supermarkets can be cheaper and it can cost you a decent amount buying in bulk. I used to load up there once a week and then I would restock certain stuff that I knew I would need throughout the week
