Republicans created identity politics and are far more devoted to it than Democrats.

Nah. Supporting/choosing leaders that you identify with superficially is as old as time itself. The idea that you should support someone that doesn't belong to your race/ethnicity is an extremely progressive, modern idea. Has any democratic country ever voted in someone that belonged to a minority race/ethnicity before Barack Obama? I doubt it.
Another delicious irony of this whole narrative we have of white racism and white privilege that shows just how absurd the narrative is. Possibly the single time in possible human history a majority demographic votes in a minority leader, and somehow they are the racist ones? Nonsense. Sure, whites in America are racist, they are just less racist than every other race.
Can we dispel with this fiction that Barack Obama is black?
could you please go back to creating cartoons?
or illustrate funny stories like this.

I don't know by what definition that guy was a minority. I have never heard of him. Lets assume for the sake of argument he is.
I doubt you are a student of Mexican history, so this means you actively searched for minority leaders to "prove" me wrong. The fact that that is all you could come up with pretty much proves I am correct. The exception proves the rule.
Like I said, it isn't necessarily a bad thing most people prefer people who look like them. Historically, it was probably advantageous survival trait, which is why it evolved so strong. And now it it just how we are hard-wired as human beings.
It took a lot of social conditioning for us to get to the point where a "black" president could be democratically elected in a Western country, and the fact it happened is a testament to how far we have actually come, and how wrong the race baiters are. And all the people pushing this "white privilege" and "white racism" garbage are actually taking us back.
Lol no that's just the closest example from a not so modern time, but i'll assume you still doubt it and you strongly believe USA is the only country that has ever elected a minority to a position power. I know all South-Americans look the same, but apparently they can tell the difference. That particular Mexican represented a less than 2% indigenous minority.
Oh and obv i looked him up. That's how you learn stuff instead of randomly assuming shit and spewing garbage based on that. I did know beforehand that Obama wasn't even close to being first minority to be elected, because that's just basic knowledge in the civilized world.
