What kind of madman refuses to prepare for a presidential debate? He literally knows nothing. But good news for Trumpkins is that nothing matters.
He is embarrassing and she is so damn unlikeable.
Awful. Gotta give her the edge though.
what a beating
i'm not saying i thought he won, but i suspect the polls will narrow even more
commentators making a strong point; trump did nothing whatseover to convince anyone on the fence to vote for him.
I know there are undecideds, which is weird in an election between two people with 100% name recognition, but I wonder if this debate actually moves someone from "support Trump". I don't see how any "support clinton" would move off that after this.
then again, his great temperament line might drop him 10 points, so who knows
yeah i think thats exactly not going to happen and ill tell you why;
imagine youre dirt poor flyover white trash. which candidate made you feel safe?
im guessing not the sputtering red faced lunatic ranting about how many millions he earned and how hes going to do you a solid by slashing income tax for the top 1%.
Trumps talking style at the end sounded like Marty Curacao on a call in to Druffs radio.
Dow futures up 100 after debate. Hillary won
Futures were down prior. Market hates uncertainty. Market knows Yellen & the Dems
Trump's biggest problem tonight has been responding to Hillary's baited statements and making himself look like a greedy scumbag.
On avoiding paying his workers via bankruptcy: "There were laws in this country allowing it and we took advantage of them."
On the lawsuits in 1973 regarding racist housing practices: "We settled the lawsuit with no admission of guilt."
On rooting for the economic crash of 2008 so he could personally enrich himself: "That's how business works."
You absolutely never say things like this on the campaign trail. You don't want to come off as a shifty person who will take advantage of anything you can find for personal gain. You try to AVOID questions/statements which nail you to the wall and are hard to answer. You don't confirm the accusations, even if true.
This is elementary stuff. I think Trump is too obsessed with responding to everything, while Hillary (from her decades-long exposure to politics) knows not to take the bait.
She has dodged several questions and accusations, such as the 33,000 e-mail deletion thing. Then people forget it.
Trump has foolishly hung himself with responses he didn't need to give.
I actually liked Trump's law and order speech (at least in theory). He was trying to say that our country's biggest crisis -- especially in the black community -- is violent crime, and that this crisis affects them far more than any racist police ever could. He was trying to say that Democrats are focusing too much upon vilifying police, while ignoring the much bigger crime issues in the inner city -- some of which cause these confrontations with police in the first place. But he didn't articulate it well, and I don't think a lot of the viewers understood what he was trying to say.
Hillary also threw out a HIGHLY misleading statistic: "Violent crime has been cut in half since 1991." Yeah, but it's gone SHARPLY UP in the past 3 years, coinciding with the recent media/politician bashing of police. So she quoted a 25-year statistic in order to avoid the harsh reality of our past 3 years. Trump was too clueless to catch this and correct her.
consensus seems to be that hillary knocked it out of the park
Hilarious how Trump kept playing the victim card regarding the slanderous ads towards him by Hillary's campaign. Perhaps he didn't blow hundreds of millions on it but he's done way more then his fair share on twitter and all the other media outlets.
I can't believe one of these fools will be elected the next president in 6 weeks.
Oh boy, this was everything I was hoping it would be. There were some good points, but I mean the guy brought up Rosie O'Donnell in a mother fucking presidential debate.
I have a good book for Donald Trump that taught me a valuable lesson as a child.
That was the real takeaway. I really thought she might keel over. Instead, he looked weak and sickly while she was fine. Another hour long and he would be out of race. He really did not prepare. It's amazing. It's like being convinced you can sing lead in Hamilton because the guys in the local bar like your karaoke rendition of Living on a Prayer. I'm actually jealous of his self-confidence, even if it's mental illness
lol steve schmidt talking about how trump just ran out of gas and talking gibberish, mentioning nuclear weapons, japan and rosie o'donnell in the same sentence
"will you accept the outcome of the election mr trump?"
good answer: "Of course, America's going to make the clearly correct choice and I'm going to reward them with unprecedented prosperity and safety, because I'm ready, I have real solutions, and the people arent going to fall for Hillary's con."
trump's answer: "oh yes absolutely." (mumbled while walking away from the spin room)
I don't know who won or who lost, that will be settled November 8th. But I just feel in all your posts you have the persona of a 14 year old kid. You sound like someone that does not make a lot of money. Not trying to be a dick, you just sound like a fast food manager or an hourly worker. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
one idea Trump offered that i liked: other countries have been living under the US security umbrella without chipping in...time to end the free ride for Japan, Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia etc...PAY UP you PIMP NATION$...and last i checked, only US citizens get to vote in our election
Best post debate moment -
Megyn Kelly, "Trump is currently talking to Sean Hannity, we'll have to wait to see if he talks to the journalists in the room"

SICK SONATINE SHOUT OUT DURING THE CYBER WARFARE TALK
My view is Donald Trump did not hurt himself. She did not help herself. So it was a draw. She won the debate on points, but nobody except wonks scored it so that does not matter
There is nothing in this debate that will stop Trump's momentum. He is the outsider, she is the insider and that did not change.
Trump got through it, that is really all that matters. I doubt you will see any real shift in the polls come Sunday. She needed a Trump gaffe, he needed her to cough uncontrollably, neither happened.
Momentum stays with Trump.
And this was only Round 1. He will only get more shrill and infantile in the coming debates when Hillary mentions how many times he lied and how unhinged he got during this debate. Almost guaranteed that Hilldawgs debate team will work on getting him to ramp up the craziness. It might work in rallies with his delusional supporters, but not with middle-of-the-road Americans.
Trump was god the first half hour, but he is just too competitive, got side tracked defending himself.
