Yes, as a player I would be upset if I knew I was playing with fake money players, However, It doesn't change your odds of winning or losing. If anything, it saves you money as you will play less hands therefore not as much money multiplied by the house edge.

I finally got around to watching the Rio video.
I believe Chrissy probably did get it comped. It seems that he has cash again nowadays, and is falling back into old habits. Notice he said that he was going to "go gamble" to "make some money", but we never heard the results. He was also very subdued and depressed-looking at the end of the video, on the day of checkout. I think he went on a late night gambling bender, and lost a ton.

I'm not sure the exact days he was there, but note that the World Series of Poker Main Event had most of its entrants out of the tournament by around the time he posted the video, so it's very possible the hotel was wide open at that point.
It is also possible that Chrissy was broke by the time he went to the Rio, and was just leeching comps. The fact that we didn't see his usual flashing of cash is suspicious.
Anyway, maybe I'll see if I can find out if he really got that room comped. My initial guess is yes, and probably based upon recent degeneracy.

I was able to then pay just $60 per night and I got upgraded to one of their large executive suites with an Eiffel Tower view. No resort fees so you’re talking about a 1000 square foot room for just $240 total. Still mighty good and (if I were a scammer) impressive looking for a cheap price.
