Is Leyland smoking in the dugout again?
what's more boring watching Tigers & Bosox hitting or Obama yap yap yap
Peavy =
:noose
sick heater in the 2nd.
watching pitching live in person yes but on TV boring,
unless it's your team of course,
good thing the AL has a DH to make the game more exciting
and Obama had to shoot his mouth off during the game between the Senate and House votes because he obviously has no leadership or negotiation skills but he gives a great speech
Feels like a forfeit to me.
is a 7-2 lead safe with Benoit on the mound?
need an animated gif of Fielder's belly flop trying to get that ball on the triple.
Great game but took a ton of bad beats playing live poker tonight so I should have stayed home to watch.
Over history Tigers have hit Peavy very well that I liked their chances as long as Fister could deliver a good start and he was solid. If Benoit would have made that game any closer I would of said don't play his ass anymore this series and regardless won't like him in their closing unless the Tigers have a big lead.
I felt good because I remember the Tigers roughing Peavy up in the past and I went on http://dailybaseballdata.com/ where I regularly look to see the batter vs pitcher stats which confirmed how Tigers hit Peavy.
Leyland might think he's a genius for setting the lineup the way he did tonight and in theory it worked taking pressure off Jackson but I won't read too much into it for the simple fact that Peavy is weak compared to the Lester, Buchholz, and Lackey.
But seriously though how does this happen?

Peavey completely choked under the pressure. Squinting like he was having a stroke. He simply did not have it. He threw 65 pitches with only 25 fastballs. He was AFRAID to throw a strike. The ex pitching coach, Farrell, did not yank him instantly and that was a fail. It was a forfeit.
But the rest of the team is not playing well either. Drew should never set foot on the field wearing a Red Sox jersey (his contract is up). Insert Bogaerts. Pedroia is pressing - swinging at the bounced pitch. Victorino looks awful.
Maybe team is just slumping at the wrong time. But I am thoroughly blown away by the Tigers pitching (so are the Red Sox)
Doesn't look good.
On the other hand I have never seen a slower team than Detroit. Almost historically slow. Victor Martinez now looks like he has a pulled quad or something. Fielder looks like a drunk when he runs. Put Cabby on wheels.
Tonight more or less a must win for red sox than it is Tigers even though they are headed back to Fenway for game 6.
if Tigers win tonight and I were a tigers fan I would feel pretty comfortable with JV/Max going on the road and needing only 1 win
No "more or less" about it. It is come to Jesus time for Sox.
If Tigers win tonight, you take out a personal loan and sell plasma while loan is being processed and bet everything on Tigers taking the World Series (a silent prayer the Dodgers win NLCS might be in order).
Sanchez failing so far but could be much worse then a 4-0 lead for Boston.
Now how sick was this catch?

The base steal one from last night I posted but I don't think their is one of him getting out at home from tonight as of yet.
Boom, Iggy turns 2.
Stephen Drew is a poster boy for why the game has no room for slow, white, US born shortstops.

any gif's of fielder's belly flop trying to get the grounder last night that hit first base and went to outfield?
Doesn't do it justice. Regardless of the third base coaches sign, on what planet does Miggy think he can reach home before noon tomorrow?
However, Miggy mixing it up with Ross about the outside pitch then tipping his cap to Lester on a great pitch had me rooting for him. Very cool.
btw tigers are paying fielder 24 mill per through 2020
he has held up well thus far in his career but will he make it to 2020?

Getting a win in these next 2 games is going to be TOUGH
Where the Detroit fans really booing one of their own players in the playoffs?
Gotta love the Public Address guy letting the crowd now when it's appropriate to "Get Loud".
Jeez.
It's even tougher for Detroit to win the next two games but they have the pitchers on the mound that can do their part.
Scherzer wins Saturday and its a whole new attitude in Detroit.
The Detroit fans killing Fielder.
Heard post game interview with Fielder and he said, "my kids are takin' care of, but I'm tryin to hit the ball hard". Also, "if the fans could do, it they'd be out there."
Nice fan support. Again, one win and they feel they can take it.
game 6 a tough one too call
The Tigers were +110 when the line opened and now are -105. I nearly jumped on them early but now won't even bet it.
game 2 sox were -129 game 6 there -107 idk the books like the tigers imo and think public will take sox
Buccholz fastball is a few clicks off his best. He prolly is still hurt or worried about his neck.
Scherzer has a million miles on his arm. It could be like Kershaw last night with Dodgers. Gotta believe he is still Cy Young until he shows you otherwise.
Edge Detroit
The Tigers offense is not right. Fielder's problems are so severe it is hard to see him bouncing back today.
Edge Boston
The Tigers defense is awful except Iggy. Too many un athletic or hurt players out there.
Edge Boston
I gotta hunch Boston gets to Scherzer just enough to win. Boston has seen him. He's none too fresh. But Leyland leaves him out there cause what else can he do.
Buccholz goes 5 and Sox bullpen holds up.
Too tough to call. Your supposed to bet Scherzer to win. But Tigers are so flawed right now.
I would take any money you may have intended to bet and use it for beer.
