DRUFF IS THIS TRUE?

I wish the Dodgers could always play the Pirates.
They won 11-0 tonight, are 5-0 against them this season, and are now 12-0 in season series against Pittsburgh since 2001.
Hoping Kershaw gets it done tomorrow and the Giants lose to Washington, putting the Dodgers in first alone. Right now the two teams are tied for first, and both are 0.5 games behind the Pirates for the 2nd wildcard spot.
You guys got Pitt at the right time.
F, They have 1 more w/them after today? So Giants can win and be in 2nd going into Friday.
This has just been a great baseball season.
Can't ask for more than w/45 games left to be in a dead heat w/your rival.
Todays Giant game,
I know Lincecum has had a shitty year, but vs Strasburg?, possible HOF vs HOF match up.
Good news for the Dodgers
Melky out 50 games, (w45 left)
BREAKING NEWS: Melky Cabrera of Giants suspended 50 games for PEDs
http://blog.sfgate.com/giants/2012/0...ames-for-peds/
Here is the news release I received in an email at 11:39 a.m.:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 15, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO’S CABRERA SUSPENDED
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Testosterone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Cabrera is effective immediately.
CABRERA’S REACTION:
Here is Cabrera’s response, which he issued in a statement through the players’ union (I received the email at 11:55 a.m.): “My positive test was the result of my use of a substance I should not have used. I accept my suspension under the Joint Drug Program and will try to move on with my life. I am deeply sorry for my mistake and I apologize to my teammates, to the San Francisco Giants organization and to the fans for letting them down.”
GIANTS’ REACTION:
Here is the Giants’ reaction to the suspension, emailed at 11:57 a.m.: “We were extremely disappointed to learn of the suspension of Melky Cabrera for violating Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention & Treatment Program. We fully support Major League Baseball’s policy and its efforts to eliminate performance enhancing drugs from our game. Per the protocol outline by Major League Baseball’s collective bargaining agreement, the Giants will not comment further on this matter.”
LOL at the Dodgers, goes into series up a 1/2 game, now down 2.5.
PITCHING WINS IN AUGUST
Giants Starters 20.2 innings 19 k's 1 walk.
Pagan led off and scored in all 3 games, and the dodgers didn't even tie it up, once.

LOS ANGELES -- The San Francisco Giants said they had to move on after Melky Cabrera's 50-game suspension for a positive drug test. They've done just that, regaining the National League West lead and improving to 5-2 since his punishment was announced last week.
Solid pitching by Madison Bumgarner, Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain and hot hitting from Angel Pagan on the current road trip have allowed the Giants to extend their division lead to 2 1/2 games.
They beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4 on Wednesday night for their first three-game sweep at Dodger Stadium in five years. The Giants arrived in Los Angeles trailing the Dodgers by a half-game, and they leave with their largest lead in a month.
Everyone is so demoralized about the sweep by the Giants that tickets on StubHub are dirt cheap.
This makes me feel especially bad because I had initially planned to go to LA to see today's game, but can't make it due to something important I have to do tomorrow.
Right now you can buy two tickets in Row B of field section 22 (between home and first base) for $55/each plus fees, so you could basically get both tickets for like $130 out the door.
These are excellent seats and are a fucking bargain. It's fireworks night, too.
It was so bad by the end of the Giants series that Kemp finally got a hit at the end of the 3rd game when the Dodgers were already completely out of it, and the crowd went wild, cause that was the best thing to happen to the Dodgers (or Kemp) in the series.
Hey guys....
It makes me wish I put Suicide King on the pre-banned list when I realize that he only posts on this site to bash the Dodgers.
Seems like pretty much every Dodgers game these days goes like this:
- Dodgers fall behind early
- Dodgers catch up to a tie, usually thanks to heroics by Luis Cruz or Andre Ethier
- Neither team scores for awhile
- Dodgers get a number of chances with runners in scoring position and guys like Adrian Gonzalez, Hanley Ramirez, and Matt Kemp coming up with 0-1 outs, but inevitably these guys all strike out and nobody scores.
- Eventually the inevitable happens and the other team plates a run, usually thanks to putting in a terrible pitcher like John Ely because the Dodgers inexplicably didn't call up enough pitchers during September expansion.
- If the Dodgers are at home, they go out weakly in the bottom half of the inning and lose.
:facepalm2
Also, I think it's pretty clear that Matt Kemp is injured but not telling anyone, because he already missed so much playing time.

I will be pulling for the Dodgers the next 3 days. Hope they help my Braves out. 5 games out now. Go Braves!

JUICING FTW! Eric Gagne takes one out of the Canseco playbook.
Both LA teams will most likely miss the playoffs. Pretty sad after all the dough they spent. Which team will have a better 2013 Druff?
