Im gonna feel like such a scrub for not putting my entire roll on GSP
If GSP gets knocked out, im not watching UFC for the rest of 2017.
UFC inflating GSP at -140 when he was at most -115
Bisping being a good punching bag so far
GSP gassing btw.
lolstandard.
Best PPV of 2017, AINEC
GSP was so gassed but it didn't matter. He did bring all he had at the end there to win it.
This is the definition of true grit.
Bisping needs guys to make mistakes, IMO. GSP is not the guy to make em, also IMO.
I'm no rentboy but gsp seems like a lovely man.....
What a fun fight card. I'd love to see TJ vs Garbrandt again. I also don't think GSP wants anything to do with Whittaker. Will be very interesting to see what GSP does next.
Ferg vs Conor and DJ vs TJ for 125 in Cowboys Stadium
only guessing that because WME got that debt to pay
so GSP didnt call out Conor? interesting...
Pretty sure hes not interested in 170 anymore.
Do you think the UFC does the TJ vs DJ fight? If Cruz can get past Rivera they may do TJ vs Cruz 2. I also think the UFC has given Garbrandt a pretty good push, I think there's a chance they do that fight agains. No fucking clue what happens at 135lbs.
Rose looked incredibly good. Leading up to that crisp left hook her distancing was superb and she was in and out so slick with such great footwork, JJ was missing her shots badly. I thought this was an easy win for JJ but now I think if they do the fight again Rose wins.
Rockholdt must be on massive tilt. He may not get another crack at Bisping and he ridiculed GSP for coming up to 185 and felt he would embarass himself vs Bisping. GSP had some gas tank issues in round two but he seemed to get a nice second wind in round three. He worked hard on top throughout the round, once it was back to the feet he had some pop on his shots again. After a 4 year layout plus the weight gain perhaps adrenaline dump was a big issue. GSP admitted before the fight he was nervous as hell.
I still think it's coming. Rogan asked GSP if he plans to stay in the division and he didn't answer. He started blabbing about it not being his weight class, then he stuttered a bit and Rogan cut him off.
I think GSP vs McGregor at 170. If McGregor loses he still preserves some of his mystique because he was the smaller man taking on the greatest of all time at WW or however the fuck the UFC sells it to protect their money maker.
TJ wants it
DJ's number needs to be met however...and I think UFC wont budge...which is dumb on their part. But they will do so when its favorable.....if they can get that fight with a Conor main, they dont take as much of a hit on having to pay DJ more because that card brings in 1m+ PPVs. Also if they do it in a big venue, which I suspect, they also get more of a gate.
Do I think UFC wants to make a PPV with DJ vs TJ main? No. But it would be a great undercard for a supercard they try to do 2x's a year

Stream for the post fight press conference if anyone is interested.
Gsp goat
He's gotta be in the conversation. While DJ looks amazing his issue is lack of competition. He doesn't have a single win on his résumé that stands out. He's gotta take the TJ fight and he already dodged it once. Dana White said in the post fight presser that the UFC wants to make that fight next.
Interesting article. White says the UFC had its most profitable year by a long shot. While ppv buy rates were down they had record profits in other areas of business. 2018 should be a big year for ppv buys assuming both GSP and McGregor are active.
I'm hoping DJ will man up and take the fight now that he has the record for title defenses. DJ doesn't have a perfect record, Cruz already beat him. It will be hard for DJ to talk his way out of the TJ fight this time. Last time around his excuses were ridiculous. It's also hard to blame him for wanting the easy fight to break the all time record. I also agree, TJ wins that fight.
DJ feared Dillashaw wouldn't be able to make the weight cut which is a concern because the last thing you want to do is have an intense training camp and have the guy miss weight.
Now that Dillashaw is a champion again wanting to move down to 125 it makes the payday better but also shows Dillashaw's drive to cut.
This is still going to be a very tough weight cut for Dillashaw and DJ should take the fight but request a bigger chunk of Dillashaw purse if he don't make weight.
Dillashaw said he was at 140lbs a couple weeks out from potential fight with DJ, he said he is a very small 135lbs and he actively has to keep weight on to compete in the division. TJ said he makes 125 easily, he stated that in last night's post fight press conference and when DJ was dodging him.
DJ's excuse was nonsense, he took a fight with Borg, a guy notorious for missing weight and pulling out of fights last minute because he didn't want to fight a guy that he speculates may miss weight? Borg has pulled out of 4 fights last minute and missed weight once, that's in 8 fights with the UFC. Dillashaw is a professional who has pulled out of one fight due to injury and never missed weight. DJ wanted the easy path to that title defense record.
It was a title fight, if TJ missed weight it was no longer a title fight. TJ never misses weight and DJ used the excuse that he didn't want to prepare for a guy who may miss just to fight a guy who is one of the most unreliable fighters on the roster? Borg went on and did what he almost always does as well, pull out of the fight last minute.
Listen, I don't blame DJ for wanting the easy fight to break an all time record. It's huge for him. It just seemed super transparent what he was doing. He gave up on a legitimate ppv partnership and a big name opponent to fight a no name for less money as well as a guy with a hilariously bad record of making it to the octagon on fight night.
If anyone should be worried about a guy potentially missing weight for a title fight it would be the UFC. They invest a ton of money in promotion and they weren't worried about TJ making weight. http://www.mmanews.com/dana-white-sa...w-is-insanity/
be that as it may, when i put myself in dj's shoes, i think the equity comparison regarding facing the likes of borg or an essentially cheating tj are clear.
title fight or no, if tj wins via blowing off his cut, its still a fat fucking L on the books for dj, and last i checked thats all WME gives a shit about when its time to negotiate paychecks.
im not saying i respect dj for not taking the fight, im just saying thats showbiz baby.
How is TJ cheating? 3 weeks out he was 140lbs, that's even small for 125lbs. I also couldn't disagree more on paychecks and the UFC. I think they actually place far too little value on a guys record and far too much on their ppv buy rates. Some of the top paid UFC fighters have a shit load of losses.
i only go by what the fighters are saying, and they are saying that the pay scale for the UFC is currently based wins, i believe consecutive ones. perhaps there is flex for clown princes like conor, i expect there is.
and tj blowing off a weight cut for a huge stamina and weight edge is cheating. im not sure theres a point in debating it if you dont agree.
I just don't understand your logic, why would TJ drop down to 125lbs to fight for a title only to purposely not make weight, lose 20% of his purse and lose the opportunity to become UFC champ? He's shown absolutely no history of missing weight and he's a small 135lb fighter. I think he believes he wins that fight and I agree with him. Garbrandt felt the same, these guys want to fight DJ for a reason. You're inventing a scenario to defend DJ. You do understand that if TJ missed weight DJ would have the option of not fighting, right? DJ dodged the tough fight to break a great record, who can blame him.
Go ahead and pull UFC fighter salaries. An absurd amount of the top guys are paid extremely well. Guys like Nate Diaz, Mark Hunt, Alistair Overeem, Lawler are amongst the top earners in the UFC. The UFC pays guys who sell ppv's. They give title shots to guys who haven't earned it. Make the company money and you get paid, regardless of wins and losses. It's exactly what DJ is complaining about. He isn't paid anywhere near what the top guys are paid and he's the most dominant champion in the UFC. Do you have any links to fighters complaining about a pay scale that rewards a padded record? I know DJ complains of the exact opposite.
im defending dj's scenario.

i think dj boxes him up. i dont see him nailing too many meaningful takedowns but he could surprise me.
cruz outvolumed tj into obscurity and his tempo is what, 1/3 of dj's.. so really i just dont think tj has a lot to bring to the equation.
i think id probably take dj here at up to -250'ish.
