I believe that since it's less than 70 days before the election, Moore can be removed from the ballot, but Strange cannot be added. Strange would have to run as a write in candidate. The woman Senator in Alaska did it a few years ago, but it's been done like 3 times in the past century.

I can make the moral argument that slavery is wrong. Yet last time I checked the Old Testament has entire chapters devoted to explaining guidelines for owning slaves. It is fucking ridiculous that the right of passage to manhood for Jewish males is reciting lines from a text that condones slavery and sets guidelines for how to own other humans the correct way.

You were right that the minority party often makes gains in midterms. It's just that the last time Democrats gained 14 seats in the Virginia legislature in one election was in 1899. They're losing in what had recently been solidly red districts.
