1 hr of community service for jesse Jackson for every felony charge
Everyone owes Jussie an apology now that he's been fully and completely exonerated.
This court decision is patently ridiculous. That idiot wasted the authorities’ time investigating and dealing with this case. At a minimum, he should have to reimburse the city for all of the labor and court costs for all that time. Then, add 100 hours of community service and probation for 2-5 years.
Chicago corruption strikes again
Am I the only one shocked Rahm Emmanuel didn't catch hell for using the term "whitewash" in regards to this situation??.. Had that been a white Republilcan they would've been marching on the guys house with pitchforks and torches demanding his immediate resignation and head on a spike.
Not so sure this was Chicago corruption and more so corruption from higher up the food chain seeing how It wasn't just the police commish who was pissed as hell about this even Rahm Emmanual basically said it was bullshit.. Some implied it was due to the ASA getting a huge donation from Soros and he called in the chip or it could've been somethingelse… I can only imagine how many bottles in Darkstars brother is into tonight given the hosejob CPD got in all this.. Wonder if theres a chance the Feds could go after Smollet for faking a hate crime since a hate crime is potentially federal to begin with.. Theres still the Potential federal charges though on the fake threat he mailed to himself using the Postal Service..
I have no idea what led to this idiotic decision, and yes, I can tell that some Chicago officials are pissed about it.
However, the rule of thumb with Chicago is to believe corruption is involved when anything weird happens there.
Very, very peculiar.
I wonder if anyone is going to be dumb enough to hire him in the near future.
This type of corruption seems to be more about ideology rather than money.
They can't have Jussie ratting out to the cops who actually put him up to doing it.
(((shut it down!)))
let's ask him "how was the community service" he probably say "shit I was just doing that on my days off, u know im the gay 2pac." so are we as a society going to have to accept his reality that this happened to him? his transreality? wow that's where libtards are headed
-440 cops got caught doing dirt to make their case
shout out to drk's brother; honor your oath, scumbag.
Ironically I think police and City Hall were actively trying to work against this narrative by offering Smollett up as an example they aren't corrupt.
Of course the DA had other plans. The exact reasons the DA declined to prosecute the case is not known and may never be known. It may have been political. It may also have been (as Sonatine implies) police impropriety would have made the case a lost cause.
I am going to go ahead and call the Soros connection extreme alt-right antisemetic BS.
Lol.
I was just thinking to myself that Rahms statement sounded like all bark and no bite. If Rahm actually doesn't do something about this, or doesn't pursue it pretty hard, then I will just assume dropping the charges was way better than exposing some conspiracy that would pretty much send national troops into Chicago....something that people living in Chicago have actually suggested in the past...
I'm surprised nobody here is aware that this was the State's Attorney's doing. The fact that she's not now a household name like Smollett is a failing of the media I guess. She is a close friend of the Smollett family.
https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...313-story.htmlQuote:
“Spoke to the Superintendent Johnson,” Foxx emailed Tchen back on Feb. 1. “I convinced him to Reach out to FBI to ask that they take over the investigation.”
The same day, Foxx texted with Smollett’s relative, whose name was blacked out in copies released by her office.
“Spoke to the superintendent earlier, he made the ask,” Foxx wrote. “Trying to figure out logistics. I’ll keep you posted.”
“Omg this would be a huge victory,” the relative replied.
“I make no guarantees, but I’m trying,” Foxx wrote back.
The State's Attorney's office just blindsided the Mayor and CPD with this, and you can clearly see that they are PISSED in the pressers.
EDIT: Techincally it was the assistant SA who dropped the charges, because Foxx eventually recused herself. Here's a LOL quote from him after punting the case:
Quote:
"This was not an exoneration. To say that he was exonerated by us or anyone is not true," Magats said. "We believe he did what he was charged with doing."
Up until today, I thought Kamala Harris was the best choice for the Democrats in 2020.
Now I'm not so sure.
What a horrible, tone deaf response:
She's asked about a guy getting off the hook for faking a hate crime for personal gain, and then she goes into a rant about how hate crimes have recently increased.
She couldn't have picked a worse time to bring up that subject.
Amazingly, she doesn't even take care to make a connection between the fake hate crime and her concern about how it will affect real ones.
A decent answer would have been, "Yes, this was not a real hate crime, and it was highly disappointing for me to see that someone would fake that, because there are plenty of real hate crimes actually occurring, and I don't want to see actual victims losing credibility."
Instead, she says she's "confused" about Jussie getting off, and then immediately launches into the typical left wing "but OMG hate crimes are increasing so much" rhetoric.
Already not looking like she has the ability to lead or answer questions.
Rick Sanchez, ladies and gentlemen.
i actually felt sorry for the dude after his world came crashing down and he was busted. what a mistake on my part showing compassion to another person.
this fucker even had the nerve to get up and hold a press conference saying he was truthful and consistent....lol
how does something like this happen? this is almost like a house of cards episode comes to life.
the end result of all of this is much like many thought would happen. not because he wasn't guilty, but because of of our unfair system that is front and center that protects people like him.
how can the prosecutor and that office not be investigated here?
i would not be surprised if the strings that were pulled stretch deep in the democratic political spectrum. some people speculate all the way to obama. and really, would that be far fetched? i don't think so.
just connect the dots. the injustice really shouldn't be hard to uncover. the question is, who is going to do it?
in fairness, the president (and specifically his inability to answer questions or form coherent thoughts) is attacked literally every single day, and on a level we have never seen before. in two years, he has probably been attacked more than every other president combined.
i mean, it's deserved, but still.
@AJGuglielmi says the gag order keeps secret an investigative file that’s about 8 inches thick and bars @Chicago_Police from discussing the investigation.
8 inches thick LULZ
sah_24: You like your doctor, you can keep him ... peak irony
MumblesBadly: But Trump never had to be in-person questioned by Mueller’s team. So he could hide behind his pathological lying ways behind written answers prepared by his attorneys, including refusing to answer one of the submitted questions.
not sure how either of these reps had anything to do with my post
I could never vote republican and I’m sure you’re joking, but like I was probably as ambivalent about trump as ever after the mueller thing. Not because it was some exoneration. Trump is basically an organized crime figure, and federal prosecutors only bring cases they can win at a 99% clip against average joes, so like I didn’t expect anything. Trump is a retard talking geopolitics, but I never assumed they get him with some smoking gun, and the feds took 30 years to build cases against organized crime figures that everyone knew were killing people. So that they’d get him was unlikely to me.
And I didn’t much care.
Then he tries to kill me the next day with the Obamacare thing at a time when I didn’t even wake up hating him. Really strange fucking move. The loud left just about had me disinterested enough to not care.
My buddy who went to the Beto thing last week is an involved pol. Fundraising, canvassing, really involved. He’s way to the left of me. We were bullshitting about the whole race and even he was asking ,”we’re late 40s white guys, is there even a place in the party for us? Do they want us? There seems to be an antagonism.”
If there was ever a time for a 3rd party of just reasonable people, this would seem the time. I hate everything that GOP wants, so it wont ever be that way, but you see shit like this and start looking around.
'on the third party thing'...
wish you were right BCR...
follow the money...never gonna happen unfortunately...
I'm afraid the media isn't going to push this matter at all, will drop it in a few days, and we will never get answers as to exactly what happened.
At least they didn't have Chicago PD or the mayor on board, so we're seeing left-versus-left battling on the matter, which may actually keep it alive.
Whatever occurred here was some pretty deep, high level corruption, starting with the former prosecutor of Jussie's case.
MAGA
Nigerians in white face?
This is cultural appropriation!
