I don't agree.
The people who claim to have found you aren't on any social media which would have links between us.
Here's an anecdote regarding how easy it can be to find an anonymous person online, once they post enough random (but seemingly non-specific) details about themselves.
A long time ago (not on this or any other poker forum), there was a guy who had gotten my personal info through a third party, and kept posting it. He was very arrogant about the whole thing, knowing I couldn't find him, and was constantly posting details about me to rub it in my face.
Finally I got tired of this and set out to find him.
I scoured through everything he had posted, and while I had some clues (such as a general physical description of himself), there wasn't anything much to go on. I gave up for the moment, until one day he was driving up I-5 and stopped at a Denny's in a smallish town. He posted that night about the Denny's stop, and complained about what he had ordered, claiming he sent it back and got something else.
I jumped on it and called that Denny's, pretending to be him. I didn't have his name, of course, but described myself the way he had previously claimed he looked, and said that I just realized they never took off the first item I ordered, and charged me for both that and the replacement meal. I told them what both of them were. To cover for the fact that I didn't have his name, I said that I "wasn't sure" if the credit card used was mine or my traveling companion -- that I've eaten so many meals this trip and it's all a blur.
(Note that he never said there was a problem with the bill. This was a ruse to get his name!)
They didn't question any of this. Why should they have? I had a lot of specific information here, regarding what he looked like, what he ordered (and sent back), and roughly what time he was there. The manager was going through receipts and said, "Well okay, I see the receipt I think is yours here, but it's not in your name. But I do see we took off the first thing you ordered, with a charge and credit, so you're fine provided that was your table."
I said, "You sure it's not in my name, [fake name I made up]?"
The manager replied, "No, the name I see on the card was [the guy's real name]. Is that who you were eating with?"
"Oh yeah, that was my buddy. Okay, sorry for bothering you. Thanks for checking," I said in closing, and hung up.
I then waited about 2 weeks or so, in order to prevent him from figuring out what I might have done. Then I posted the dude's name. He was absolutely shocked. He had never posted it anywhere, nor did he give it to anyone. He was careful to be fully anonymous, and now I somehow had his fucking name. He kept asking how I got it, and when I wouldn't tell him, he suddenly went into apology mode and offered we drop our beef. Never in a million years would he be able to go back in his mind 2 weeks and figure out that the Denny's meal was the culprit.
I assume that's what people here did to you, though probably without any kind of phone call.
