He already said he is playing tomorrow. If he was well enough to hit a bunker shot 10 min later, he will be fine with full 24hrs rest. No shit there is long way to go but if I win an Icon pool it is with proceeds.

I assume you're not watching the coverage. There's no guarantee he plays. This has been an issue for him in the past forcing him to withdraw & not just dehydration or something easily treated.

So how is it still running? Is he honestly going to claim that he no longer has anything to do with it? And they're supposed to believe it just because he says so?

I hate to be the first to say it but Druff, like Tiger, may have seen better days.

When I think of Bryan Micon returning to Vegas I think of the opening of Rounders when Matt Damon talks about spotting the sucker in the first 30 minutes and if you can't then you are the sucker aka Micon deciding to come back to Vegas without knowing his true fate.

I'm skeptical that any final plea agreement is already in place - why wouldn't the DA first require Micon to come to the US and surrender before offering any firm agreement? And I've got to believe that any agreement would include as a term of probation that Micon refrain from similar internet activities for an extended period of time. Where that leaves SWC is anyone's guess.

For those wagering on the outcome, in the spirit of Joe Navarro, I'm going to speculate and handicap the conclusion of this matter as follows:

If Micon appears in Court next week wearing a full suit and tie, then there is a high probability of a fine + probation only.

If Micon appears in Court next week without wearing a full suit and tie but rather a collared shirt and pants, then jail time is not yet fully off the table.

And if Micon appears in Court next week dressed as you would otherwise expect Micon to be dressed, then there is a high probability of some jail time.

You can't hate on him in this spot because, he really is true to his own heart and is doing what he believes in. Bitcoins, poker, libertarian (tard?) etc..

It seems he is always gonna just be the Micon, loved or hated. I personally respect people who are willing to go out on a limb even in the face of tons of adversity, because they believe in their cause.

SWC.eu actually takes about < .09% (guesstimation) of any revenue from Nevadas legal sites (lol).

He fought a good cause that he genuinely believed in here. For that I commend him and I'm not surprised the State of Nevada doesnt want to wast resources/money on some libtard bitcoin barron. They will sting him just enough, and everyone will move along.


< 365 days probably is my guess, significant financial restitution, and Micon resurfaces a legend in the poker world (in his own little way)

I think Micon's hand was forced, when he realized that his 6 month vacation in a foreign land was coming to an end. He obv isn't in a position to kick out 4 hundo to stay, so really he had no other choice.

Druffs comment about swc.eu really resonates. How is there a plea framework in place re: sealswithclubs.com that somehow gives swc.eu a pass...

I talked to a lawyer in 2009 about what it would take to start a poker site from Costa Rica (same thing here really). I was told, point blank, by a lawyer, "If you go that route, you can never step foot in the US again."

So I really hope Micon knows what hes doing here...
