Crowe, I really appreciate it the kind words.
I’ll have more to write, but I just wanted to make a quick couple points. I will admit that of course when people enjoy content I put together, that gives me a jolt of positive energy. Not to sound corny, but making someone laugh or smile does give me a lot of satisfaction. That has always been the case for me. If people enjoy the videos I put up that is really all I care about.
As for the thread, this thread really is not about Christopher Mitchell to me. Yes, we comment about this shit stain because his shamelessness, lack of self awareness and just depravity in general make him a great candidate to really examine.
However, this really is in the broader sense about the age we live in and how social media can abused by human garbage like Chrissy. Chrissy runs the 2020’s scammer playbook to a tee. To see someone like him be able to continue to peddle his horseshit on the biggest platform the world has ever seen is quite a site to behold.
People may criticize that it’s not worth giving this fuckball so much time. But again, this really isn’t just about him. I am not trying to make this more profound than it is. We are not writing Shakespeare here. But it is more than what it looks like on the surface. We are following a part of the absurdity of the times we live in, through the chronicles of this two-bit scammer.
Not to mention it’s been fun. The memes and the jokes. Especially during the lockdown, always great comic relief. The regs on this thread are all beasts. The YouTube videos I started to make were and have been therapeutic for me though much of the lockdown. 20 years ago one of my plans was to go into comedy/writing, but Poker was just too easy at the time. It was nice to revisit that side of me 20 years later.
Beyond that, this thread represents to me that a group of people, that for the most part never met and are from all kinds of different backgrounds, can collaborate in an open forum in a respectful and meaningful way. Don’t get me wrong, we have had some bumps in the road for sure. Some people have come and gone, others have come back and others pop in now and again. But I would say it’s all a been a pretty cool experience. (Yes I just said that about a forum). I would be happy to meet any of these guys in AC or Vegas and buy them a comped drink.
