cleatus did not ask us to raise money for his scooter. He made a post indicating frustration that his existing scooter broke. About a year later, cleatus tracked me down at the WSOP and handed me the money I donated. I was surprised because this wasn't presented as a loan. It was a donation -- from me and everyone else. I also like to separate the politics from the man (not just cleatus -- everyone). There are people I really like who are Democrats (Master Scalir is a good example), and fellow Republicans I strongly dislike. I am more likely to get along with Republicans than Democrats because we have more in common with our worldview, but it's far from absolute.
