Must be great to be a Democrat:
President Biden's approval rating among Democrats has plummeted to a record low of 75% — down a staggering 11 percentage points over just the last month, according to a new Gallup poll conducted between Oct. 2 and Oct. 23.
Why it matters: Biden is at risk of alienating members of his own party with his unequivocal support for Israel, which has carried out a weeks-long bombardment and total siege of Gaza in response to Hamas' Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.
An annual Gallup poll conducted in February found that Democrats sympathized more with Palestinians than Israelis for the first time in the survey's two-decade history.
The divide is particularly stark between generations: Less than half (48%) of Gen Z and millennials believe the U.S. should publicly voice support of Israel, according to a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.
Zoom in: Biden's initial response to the Oct. 7 massacre — including his trip to Israel, request for $14 billion in military aid, and speeches decrying Hamas as "sheer evil" — drew widespread praise from supporters of Israel.
But the president's steadfast support for the Jewish state has not translated to new political support at home, according to four national polls conducted after Oct. 10.
Biden's approval in October's Gallup poll fell four points to match a record low of 37%, driven by his slide among Democrats and a four-point drop-off among independents (35%). His approval among Republicans remained steady at 5%.
"Joe Biden has single-handedly alienated almost every Arab American and Muslim American voter in Michigan," Democratic state Rep. Alabas Farhat told NBC News last week. <------------
Even New York is turning it's back on Biden. He was 22 points ahead of Trump in June. Now he's only 7% ahead. It's not just Israel. It's New York getting overrun with immigrants.
When God and King Trump retakes the White House it'd be cool if he redesigned some part of it. Being sure to outdo his pal, Vlad. Notice the carpet in front of Putin. Nice touch but King Trump deserves better. No carpet, an OLED screen that displays whatever the King wants his guests to see including some casino carpet with a huge dick as part of the pattern. This would be a great room for some baseball bat action like in The Untouchables. What's the deal with all the hats? How does cloth, leather, felt, worn on the skull bring one closer to god.
Economic growth so strong, Republicans are literally speechless
Economic growth in the United States has been so strong lately that Republican leaders have literally found themselves at a loss for words.
In recent years, as job growth has soared in the United States and the unemployment rate has dropped to levels unseen in more than 50 years, Republican leaders on Capitol Hill have responded to the news by ignoring the data. Month after month, the economy adds hundreds of thousands of jobs, and I eagerly await the reactions from GOP congressional leaders.
Invariably, the party finds itself literally at a loss for words.
It was against this backdrop that the Commerce Department released new data roughly 24 hours ago, pointing to robust economic growth in the United States over the summer (July through September). In fact, the gross domestic product reached 4.9% for the quarter — a level of growth unseen during Donald Trump’s first three years in office — exceeding expectations.
It was, by any fair measure, "stellar" news, made better when combined with recent data pointing to low unemployment and inflation rates that are dropping.
Naturally, I was curious how Republicans would respond to the news. A few options came to mind.
Maybe leading GOP officials would make the case that the robust economic recovery is nice, but President Joe Biden doesn’t deserve any credit. Perhaps they’d argue that it’s too soon to applaud good news since there’s still plenty of economic work to do. Maybe they’d argue that the United States economy is a massive beast, and it’s unrealistic to think a White House agenda is uniquely responsible for periodic shifts.
But as it turns out, Republicans went with an entirely different approach: They simply ignored the good news, as if it didn’t happen.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell didn’t bother to issue any kind of statement, and new House Speaker Mike Johnson was similarly silent — except to tell Fox News’ Sean Hannity that he believes the U.S. economy “is in the tank,” overwhelming evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.
The Republican National Committee sort of acknowledged the GDP report — it issued a statement arguing that “Bidenomics is a failure,” which appeared to be odds with the news Americans had just received — though it made no mention of the actual data.
There’s no great mystery here. Party leaders have almost certainly concluded that if they were to comment on the good news, more Americans might hear about it — and that’s the last thing the GOP wants. There’s political utility in simply looking the other way.
But the Republicans’ silence doesn’t change the fact that the latest economic data is fantastic.
Tellafriend: dumbest mf here
This is what you guys do when you have no rebuttal or have been proven wrong

You are such an idiot and obviously have no college degree. The Government pumped trillions into the economy, it has no choice to go up which is why there is crippling inflation for poor people and now 8% interest rates. I am sure car interest rates are super high, I would not know I pay cash for cars but poor Democrats sure know
Biden has been a marvel for sure:
Disastrous withdraw from Afghanistan, even the Dems criticized
Allowed Putin to invade Ukraine because Putin knows he a dumb as a rock
China threatening Taiwan with war
Hamas invades, Middle East blowing up
Border is a mess even Democratic Mayors in NY and Chicago hate Biden now
40 year high in inflation
30 year high in interest rates
None of those things ever happened under Trump, all he did was blow up Isis which ran roughshod under Obama. Which is why Trump is leading Biden in virtually every poll.
You are obviously part of the 37% that thinks Biden is doing a good job. Your father obviously told you so, you fucking dumb lemming. Go out and visit your Dem buddies at a Palestine rally you impressionable dope.
:sftrue:lol4
trump stepped into an amazing economy left for him by President Obama
trump added 40% to the deficit which im sure hasnt helped inflation
China has beeen after Taiwan since the 50s
LOL at blaming President Biden for the Middle East. Those mfers been battling forever, even longer than you and tyde have been at war but imo they did do this while Biden is in office for one reason, to try and hurt Biden
The Saudis want Biden out and trump in. Now ask yourself why? See if that degree helps you figure it out
the border is a mess I will give you that but thankfully Biden is building the wall and requesting funds to stop the migrants from entering illegally
Have you not figured out that trump is more or less a russian agent? trump is not for America he is for russia and the rest of the autocrats. putin owns trump and i would not doubt trump has been giving away top secret info to russia and out other enemies . Why else would trump steal all thos top secret documents and not return them ?
Bush and trumps tax cuts for the corporations and ultra wealthy is why we keep going deeper into debt. Less money in and the same or more comimg out
The ones earning billions arent paying their share of taxes
the entire tax burden is basically on the working class

The agency announced last week that it is recovering $122 million from 100 such cases. The IRS says that's just the beginning, and that it has assigned employees to tackle 1,600 similar cases. IRS enforcement is prioritizing cases that involve millionaires who owe at least $250,000 in taxes
Deductions for megamansions and Ferraris: The IRS details tax dodges by the ultra-wealthy and says it recently squeezed 100 millionaires for $122 million in missing taxes
https://www.businessinsider.com/tax-...-fines-2023-10
The IRS says its mission to crack down on higher-earning tax dodgers has yielded $122 million more from just 100 millionaires — and they've already closed several cases of particularly brazen evasion.
The passage of the Inflation Reduction Act infused billions of dollars into the previously perpetually underfunded and paper-laden IRS. A good chunk of that was earmarked for increased enforcement, and, in a new announcement, the IRS said that enforcement is only ramping up.
"Prior to the Inflation Reduction Act, more than a decade of budget cuts prevented the IRS from keeping pace with the increasingly complicated methods the wealthiest tax taxpayers used to hide their income and evade their paying their fair share of taxes," IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel told reporters in a call. "Inflation Reduction Act funding gives us the ability to take swift and aggressive action to improve compliance and close the tax gap."
Since the passage of the IRA, the IRS has closed several cases of high-earning taxpayers getting creative with their business expenses and deductions.
In one case, according to Werfel, a former CEO was sentenced to a year in prison and ordered to pay over $15 million because he was deducting personal expenses as business expenses, and using that to finance his construction of a 51,000 square foot mansion. Some of those expenses he claimed included an outdoor pool, pool house, and tennis, basketball, and bocce courts, according to Werfel, alongside falsifying millions for luxury vehicles, artwork, country club memberships, and homes for his children.
Other cases Werfel highlighted: A restaurant owner skimming hundreds of thousands from his business to spend on himself and gamble, all while filing false tax returns. And in another case, someone received over $5 million in COVID-relief loans for a sham business, and then used that money to buy Ferrari, Bentley, and Lamborghini cars.
The IRS is specifically taking aim at Americans who earn over $1 million, and have over $250,000 in tax debt. An IRS memo previously viewed by Insider showed that nearly 1,000 taxpayers making over $1 million annually did not file their taxes multiple times between 2015 to 2020. That group of taxpayers — of whom 58 earn at least $10 million — were estimated by the IRS to owe over $34 billion as of May 2023.
In September, the IRS said it was contacting 1,600 of those millionaires who owe over $250,000 to try and get those back taxes. Now, the agency said that it's collected $122 million from 100 of those taxpayers. That's a grand total of around $160 million clawed back from high-earners, according to Werfel, when combined with the $38 million that the IRS previously collected from 175 high-earners. And that's all without the 1,500 other individuals that the IRS is working on.
"The funds that were collected should give you a fairly good idea of how much money is on the table for us to go to collect," Werfel said.
The agency will also start sending out notices to foreign firms that might not be adequately reporting their American profits, and will expand its corporate compliance program that helps figure out which big companies to audit.
Beyond chasing down high-earners, the IRS also said it's expanding taxpayer assistance across the country and online. That includes new physical centers, more staffing, new digital tools, and digitizing the piles of paper that the agency was once bogged down with.

Colorado judge paves way for trial on whether 14th Amendment disqualifies Trump from office
A Colorado judge has rejected another attempt by former President Donald Trump to throw out a lawsuit seeking to block him from the 2024 presidential ballot based on the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban.”
The ruling Wednesday from Colorado District Judge Sarah Wallace clears the way for an unprecedented trial to begin next week, to determine if Trump is disqualified from returning to the White House because of his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection.
This is the fifth unsuccessful bid by Trump to throw out the Colorado case, which is one of several pending suits trying to derail his candidacy based on the 14th Amendment.
The 14th Amendment, which was ratified after the Civil War, says US officials who take an oath to uphold the Constitution are disqualified from future office if they “engaged in insurrection” or have “given aid or comfort” to insurrectionists. But the Constitution does not spell out how to enforce the ban, and it has only been applied twice since the 1800s.
In a 24-page ruling, Wallace rejected Trump’s argument that questions about his eligibility should be handled by Congress, not courts. She also rejected Trump’s argument that the Colorado election officials don’t have the power to enforce the so-called “insurrectionist ban,” which is enshrined in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
“The Court holds that states can, and have, applied Section 3 pursuant to state statutes without federal enforcement legislation,” Wallace wrote.
She said the trial will focus on several key questions, including whether the events of January 6 “constituted an insurrection” and whether Trump “engaged” in insurrection.
Trump has denied wrongdoing regarding the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. He pleaded not guilty to state and federal charges stemming from his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
His campaign has condemned these “absurd” lawsuits and said the groups pushing these candidacy challenges are “stretching the law beyond recognition.”
https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/25/polit...ent/index.html
Similar lawsuits also invoking Section 3 have been filed in Minnesota and in Michigan.
