trump is trying to prevent a repeat of the "saturday night massacre" that preceded watergate, when nixon tried to get his AG and deputy AG to fire the special prosecutor, which they refused to do and then resigned.
trump knows neither sessions nor the deputy AG will fire mueller, and desperately wants fo find a new AG that will do it.
my guess is that sessions realizes exactly what trump is trying to do -- and for pure spite -- will refuse to resign.
conservative media currently killing trump over this including tucker carlson and brietbart.
by the way, i know this should be obvious, but to any trump supporter out there that hasn't thought this through, the second trump fires mueller, his presidency is essentially over. zero republicans will work with him on anything. impeachment calls will come from both sides
