The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed that 45-year-old Alejandro "Jano" Fuentes died on Saturday. He was shot three times in the head late Thursday outside his Tras Bambalinas School on Chicago's southwest side.
The attack happened less than a week after the killing of Christina Grimmie, who appeared on the U.S. version of the show. Authorities say a man shot her while she was signing autographs after a performance in Orlando, Florida. The man then killed himself.
Fuentes got into his car with friends and an armed man suddenly ordered Fuentes out of that vehicle and shot him.
Police said they had no suspects in the attack. WGN television said police were investigating whether the shooting was an attempted carjacking or a robbery.
Friends of Fuentes in Chicago said they were holding a vigil and memorial for the singer at his studio in Chicago on Saturday evening.

"Sir, there's no need for firearms," Kinsey said he told police before he was shot, according to the station. "It was so surprising. It was like a mosquito bite."
Kinsey is black. Police haven't released the name or race of the officer who shot him.

Perhaps not coincidentally, one of the primary gangs during Ahrens’ time with the LASD was known as the Lynwood Vikings. And while these white supremacist gangs represent an ongoing issue (or feature) in Los Angeles, there’s no doubt the Vikings and Grim Reapers—who were based out of one of the places Ahrens worked, Lennox Station—were active and prevalent over the years he was affiliated with the LASD (1991-2002). Add to all of this the fact modern policing was born at the intersections of racial and class oppression, the long history of white supremacist ties to police departments, numerous recent incidents involving white supremacist police officers (there’s a good partial list here), the FBI report warning that white supremacists have been infiltrating police departments, and a pretty clear picture begins to emerge

Cop Pulls Gun on Jack in the Box Employee for Not Making his Burger Fast Enough

However, before Lee’s food would arrive, officers with the Santa Clara police department would show up......
Lee was arrested on suspicion of DUI and brandishing a weapon. When the vice president of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association, Roger Winslow, released a statement on the incident, he conveniently failed to mention the assault with a deadly weapon.
“Our deputies make arrests for these crimes regularly. They see firsthand the consequences caused by impaired drivers,” Winslow said. “DUI by anyone is unacceptable; doubly so when it involves a deputy sheriff. We are held to a higher standard and rightly so.”
He then cautioned the public not to rush to judgment.......
