Weird. I can’t recall ever being in Altoona, Pa. I have driven past it. But this morning I spent a half hour trying to figure out how to avoid staying there this coming weekend. I have to be at a wrestling tournament at a small college called Mt Alysious. The school booked a bunch of rooms in Altoona, but it’s a half hour east of the school and we are coming from the west, so it felt idiotic to add an extra hour to the few hour trip. I was looking around the school and there isn’t much. Was looking at Airbnb options.
Kid just needed to hang on for the rest of the week and I may have been there and smuggled him out of town in my trunk. If I end up staying there I’ll have to stop in and give this McDonalds employee who ratted him out some words for being a snitch. Of course with the reward money coming, if they’re right and it’s him, they’ll probably quit before the weekend.

Yeah read through his Twitter. Kid seems quite smart and not particularly ideological as of summer. Tech kid with MSE and BSE in computer science from Penn. Most shares and posts are around topical subjects such as AI and isn’t apparently some radical. What his motivation is will be interesting. Profile pic certainly looks like him.
