You beat me to it, i just saw his tweet.
ShadyJ will be pleased with this news
That's scary. A buddy of mine had a stroke last month. He was out for 3 days.
Wishing T a speedy recovery.
i hope the kid that called him a scam feels like shit now.
Im 50/50 on this right now. Initially i had kind of an odd feeling about this guy, but he seemed to be accepted by the whole community. He was/is almost TOO willing to help with anything. He always offers to escrow for anything. The numbers seemed so insignificant that it didnt really matter.
Fast forward to this week. He has put up a BAP trying to collect $500. For some reason he does this behind the scenes. He also agrees to escrow this PFA tournament. He stood to collect possibly another $500 or so from that. I suppose its possible that he did all this on a slow roll for $1000 free and clear but I highly doubt it. I think the chances are about the same that he really is a good guy and this stroke stuff is just really unfortunate timing (I dont mean to sound perverse, a stroke is unfortunate damn the timing).
Druff at some point must have gotten a bad feeling as well as he requested TheTemplar send him all of the PFA league funds.
I hope this is all what it seems to be, just a guy who had a bad thing happen. I am known for blasting people yet im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt even as a BAP stakeholder.
TheTemplar @TemplarDirect
@john_drama Dude you call me a scammer over $20? You really think i would scam you for @20? Tuesday night I had a stroke, which has left me
TheTemplar @TemplarDirect

Damn... Arguing on twitter over whether you had a stroke or not.... that's gotta be a minus EV proposition.
Speedy recovery!
Apparently im not very good at making myself clear on the internet. I thought when I said this it was clear that I wasnt calling him a scammer and was willing to wait and see what happened:

How old is this person?
get well
Must have been a pretty mild one if he is still able to tweet.
Hope he gets better, if this is legit.
I will leave it at that for now.
Terrible news. Hope to see him back to his usual activities soon.
TheTemplar says that he is now permanently blind in one eye. I dont know a lot about strokes, but dont they generally affect a whole side of the body? Hopefully the vision will slowly correct over time and TheTemplar doesnt have other issues with that same side. Slurred speech, droopy face, etc are obviously tell tale signs of a stroke victim.
I don't even think this guy is in his 30's yet, that's unfortunate.
As much as I hate to agree with this fag, that is what isn't adding up. Blind in one eye yet able to type and function on a computer? If a stroke is that severe to cause blindness, there is no way he is just typing away as usual.
Color me skeptical, as I have been for a while about a lot of things with this guy.
Sounds to me like it could have been brought on by an overdose...
I had an ex girlfriend who had a mini stroke in her sleep at 28, 10 years later and she is perfectly healthy.
This sucks balls for you Templar but hope you have a speedy recovery mate.
From Jaseps twitter
Just called Albany med center and spoke to @TemplarDirect he's there. Crisis averted. Someone post this on PFA I'm not home.
Dont shoot the messenger.
Depends on where the stroke hits. If it hit whatever area of the brain that deals with vision (I could look this up but I'm lazy) it could easily make you blind in one or both eyes, even if it's not permanent and you regain some sight. Stroke's all depend on how fast you get to the person, since he was at a public baseball game I'll assume he was treated fairly quickly and hopefully can make a full recovery
It's a good idea for higher risk people to carry aspirin with you and take a couple if you feel something coming on.
Should be the intro to the nest PFA radio show:

I like Templar. Seems like a really good guy. Good to hear he's doing ok.
Terrible news, obviously. Hope all works out.
Christ I hope Templar is ok.
I TRY to only post in thread that I have a baseline knowledge of. But I had a friend whose husband got hit with one and he was in the bushes outside one of the places he cleaned at night for hours, now he's wheelchair bound and can barely talk. Had a relative who wasn't feeling good and literally had it right at the entrance to the emergency room, a month later you wouldn't even know anything happened to him.
DAMN, I pray you get the strength needed to get threw this buddy.

Templar seems like a good egg, hope he pulls through and the whole experience only makes him stronger
I called the Hospital Templar said he was at and asked for him by his real name and they connected me to him right away and we spoke for a while. My "crisis averted" comment was a joke about the $20.00 rolling... He seemed to be in good spirits etc... I busted his balls a bit and we chit chatted some. All was legit.
Oh and he is 29 and it was very mild, should be home tonight
Jesus,
Templar, that's horrible news, I am really sorry to hear this.
Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
