Why are you trying to flood this site's server?
I show 400+ connections for you right now for your IP 71.172.34.60.
I've seen this occur on other nights around this time, but was never around a computer to actually check it out (was always in bed just looking on my phone).

I really don't understand this crap.
Why are you trying to DOS this site? What did I ever do to you? I don't even recall us fighting or arguing even once on this or any of the forums.
I know that you like Micon and play on his site, but is that really a reason to attack this one? Micon and I ended our animosity a long time ago.
Like, what are you trying to accomplish here? Why are you trying to ruin PFA for the people who want to read it, interact on it, and enjoy it? Why are you being such an asshole?
As I said, this has been happening on several nights recently, but only tonight was I able to get to a computer and actually check out what was happening.

At 12:52am PDT, he read the thread where Erin Micunt gave his rebuttal to my Pokerstars editorial.
At 1:04am, he started his attack by repeatedly loading the last radio show thousands of times.
The attack lasted until 2:32am, at which point I re-enabled the script I wrote to stop DOS attacks, which I had forgotten to re-install when I switched servers. The script auto-blocked him at that point.
I am going to go back into the logs and find some more out regarding previous attacks.
Sounds like the guy has a very tight life.
Also, isn't this shit illegal?
He has been doing this at least since March 4. That was the date I switched servers, so perhaps he was doing it before this. I don't have those logs anymore. Prior to March 4, we were having big time server problems, but those appear to have been hardware/corruption related and not DOS-related, as I watched carefully for DOS attacks then and saw nothing.
The date of March 4 is interesting because that's the date the new server went up, so it appears he went right after trying to make it look like I was still having problems, in an attempt to frustrate me and waste even more of my time. Perhaps that was the catalyst -- the server switch. Maybe he wanted to get lulz out of seeing PFA continuing to have problems and having me believe that all of the effort switching servers was for naught.
Here are the dates/times of all the attacks:
Mar 4 1:14am-1:57am
Mar 11 2:59am-6:14am
Mar 13 1:33am-5:35am
Mar 22 3:43am-3:44am (not sure why so short)
Mar 22 10:48pm-1:41am
Mar 25 1:21am-2:18am
Mar 27 1:04am-2:32am (I stopped him at this point)
So it wasn't a constant attack, but he liked to do this every few days, it seems, usualy around the 1-5am timeframe (PDT).
It is illegal but very hard to prosecute in individual attacks against small websites like these, especially since the guy is out of state (New Jersey), so I would have to get federal authorities involved.Quote:
