I like the bizarre tough guy he played, although Reservoir Dogs was a bit shocking, I doubt you can make a movie like that again, I doubt it would get shown, different times. He had a bunch of kids, but he seemed to have quite of bit of arrests the last few years. Looking at his recent pictures he looked like a guy that was going to die early. He was also in that terrible poker series on ESPN that lasted like 8 episodes. RIP, good character actor, much like Jon Voight.
Had no idea he had a jacket of direct to video slop that makes Nic Cage's sheet light by comparison.
Like he alone in an entire genres worth of shit remakes of 70's exploitation films between Tarantino projects. Iguana from late 80's also hits.
The receipt from decades of cocaine spares nobody except apparently Martin Scorsese.
Tilt was hot great trash by the way.
Rest in peace. I really liked him in "Tilt". Especially when he battled Hellmuth on the felt. I still get a feeling of nostalgia when watching it. Back then (2004-2005), poker was on tv on so many channels, every evening and night...

One of my favorite films is The Getaway, 1994...

Druff has meet the woman in the picture in real life.
He was good in Kill Bill and really liked when he played the oldie song in rd and cut the cops ear off also Donnie Brosco
Dancing while cutting the cops ears off in Reservoir Dogs probably his best work. I love this scene from Kill Bill. Such a weird thing to see him have to take shit from someone.

Probably best thing was not getting the role of Vincent Vega which Tarantino originally wrote for him. He was just to gruff for that role. Can’t imagine he and Uma Thurman dancing like she did with Travolta. One of those things they didn’t work out way to the better.
Was MM vaxed?
Gonna guess max boosted like Barft.
Many contributions to actblue.

You were like 17 then, right?
I will admit I watched every episode. I'll even admit that the first 1 or 2 were decent. But boy it went into the toilet after that. I was embarrassed for myself to have finished all 9 episodes or whatever.
Koppelman and Levien are among the most inconsistent screen writers I've seen.
They wrote "Rounders", "Ocean's Thirteen", "Billions", and "Knockaround Guys" (mostly unknown, but was very underrated).
But they also wrote "Tilt", "Runaway Jury", and "Runner Runner", which were awful -- and not just because they were poorly produced or directed. The writing was shit in all three of these efforts.
Koppelman got on Twitter like 4 years ago and posted a whole long story about the difficulties making "Runner Runner". That was interesting to read... until I realized the entire exercise was an excuse-making effort to explain why his script was so great, but they just fucked it up from the production side! I mean... take credit for your missteps, especially when you've done some good work otherwise.
Anyway, Madsen did a good job in TILT.
One weird piece of trivia about Michael Madsen: He refused to watch any movies where his sister Virginia even partially took off her clothes, or had any sex scenes. He didn't just skip those scenes. He wouldn't watch the movies at all. Bizarre.
Anyway, what got him is what also knocks out a lot of men who are over 45 but under 70 -- a sudden, unexpected, massive heart attack which kills them.
This hits men (and women) over 70 as well, of course, but then it's more expected.
But a lot of guys are going along and feeling totally fine, and believing they have decades left, and then the heart attack hits, and it's donk the fuck down.
He was 67. Apparently someone called 911 (not sure if it was him or someone living with him), but by the time paramedics got there, he was already dead.

Try to get the Director's Cut where real life then-married couple Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin actually have sex in the hotel scene.Quote:
420powersme: Haven't seen that one. Will watch it tonight, in Madsen's honor.
