I see that Newsom and AG Rob Bonta are both bitching about Trump deploying the National Guard, calling it an "escalation".
Bullshit.
I fully support this move by Trump. While I have not been a fan of many of Trump's actions in his second term, I am completely behind this one.
I am so tired of rioters being given carte blanche to burn cities, injure people, destroy property, and even kill others. Democrats have made this the norm ever since 2014, and it has not only destroyed cities, ruined businesses, and taken lives, but it also led to an overall increase in violent crime and open disrespect for law enforcement.
No, it is NOT okay to destroy cities, burn buildings, throw rocks at windshields, and cause other mayhem just because you're unhappy with a law enforcement action or governmental decision. That's not protest -- it's lawlessness. You can't have a civilized country if you excuse such behavior whenever you agree with the cause. Laws exist to protect citizens at all times -- and you don't get to make exceptions because you like the reason people are breaking those laws.
Democrats also have long held a bullshit belief that bringing in law enforcement "escalates" riots.
Again, bullshit.
The worst riots we've had were all ones where the police STOOD DOWN and let the rioting happen. It's important to understand that rioters are NOT jihadists. They aren't willing to die for the cause. They're destroying things because they enjoy creating mayhem, but they will back off if their own life ends up in danger. If you clamp down on civil unrest hard and fast, it ends. The copycats don't show up and join them. The people considering joining the burning/loooting/destruction/beating suddenly are afraid for their own safety, and don't get involved.
Might a few rioters get hurt or killed? Perhaps. But tough luck. If you openly attack the city like this, and you resist any attempt to arrest you for doing so, then you are essentially giving up your right to stay alive.
Those guys throwing rocks at windshields are committing assault with a deadly weapon. Tear gas them and arrest them. If they resist, deal with them harshly, up to deadly force if necessary. Don't wait until someone dies or is critically injured because the rocks go through a windshield and hit someone in the head.

Moron, we have eyes. We are watching the videos and the news. The state and local "law enforcement" has been told to stand down, so people are fucking up the city and attacking anyone in the area.
If you and Karen Bass aren't willing to deal with the problem, the feds will.
Trump should've done this in 2020. Huge mistake at the time to leave this up to the states and localities. He's learned from it, and now they are going to put an end to it before it becomes another summer like 5 years ago.

Notice that Dems love to complain about "militarization" when they don't like laws actually being enforced.
We saw the same complaint about the police in the 2010s, just because they had high powered weaponry available. Note that, when lacking the proper firepower, police can be outgunned by criminals who load up with heavy weaponry. The most famous example of this was the North Hollywood Bank of America robbery in the late '90s, where the LAPD actually had to go to a nearby guy store to buy automatic weapons in order to compete with the two criminals firing at them. Total embarrassment.
The left doesn't want a "militarized" neighborhood, because that means rioters will be stopped, and force will be used if the rioters attempt to attack while being apprehended. The left won't say it out loud, but they see the rioters as heroes and the casualties of the riots (including innocent deaths) as collateral damage for social justice. They don't want these rioters defeated or harmed. They want the police to stand town while the rioters wreak havoc and teach Trump and ICE a "lesson".
The escalation argument is nonsense. As I said, rioters cannot escalate back. They don't have the will, the firepower, or the organization to be able to do it. They can only create chaos when nobody makes a real attempt to stop them.
If we stop tiptoeing around violent criminals and quit carefully avoiding harming them, we can get control back of our cities and allow the law-abiding, taxpaying citizens to live in peace.

THIS is what I voted for.

#NewDetails: The California National Guard arrived in Los Angeles early Sunday morning after protests over the recent ICE raids led to clashes between immigration authorities and demonstrators.

Add- Don’t know why the manager didn’t close down that Arco gas station in Compton earlier that day. They saw what was going on in the afternoon with the civil unrest and had a car fire right there at the intersection. Now their store got looted and damaged including the contractor’s mobile security unit. All they had to do was shut down the pumps and lock the store for the next 12-18 hours. They always slowly learn.

Lol pussy ICE got handled

I believe the federal government needs to issue a travel advisory to Los Angles. I would be absolutely terrified to travel there.
