Jaguar says to Bud Light ... "Hold My Beer"

Apparently JLR (Jaguar Land Rover owned by Tata Motors) has learned nothing from the Bud Light woke marketing fiasco. They have decide to kill off any of the Prestige and Luxury image that the brans has enjoyed since it's inception. In case you haven't seen it, here is the latest attempt to reboot the brand with a new Woke DEI initiative.

The damage is already done. The country club members and aristocrats that up until now made up the bulk of the Jaguar buyers were basically told to go fuck themselves by a new team of marketers that are marketing to a small group (less than 2% of the buying public that cannot even afford their vehicles).

Also the add has been pointed out as racist by having the only asian person wearing yellow.

I currently own a Jaguar F Pace SVR (supercharged V8) and was looking to get a new one (my lease is up). Not anymore. They lost me as a consumer and have damaged the brand. People are now calling the brand "Faguar". This is Bud Light 2.0.

What's also bizarre is that the social media account is acting very flippant to the critics.

The person behind it is acting as if some sort of big reveal will explain everything soon, and that this a new beginning.

I think they're going for, "We aren't going to copy the look of other luxury brands, which has been occurring in the past 15 or so years. We are going for something totally new, and now that we got your attention with the outrageous first ad, pay attention to what we are about to reveal in Miami on December 2."

So I don't necessarily think they're going woke. I think this is an ill-advised "Any publicity is good publicity" troll move, and they think it will bring attention to their new design reveal on December 2, and then suddenly everyone will forgive and forget.

But it doesn't work that way. Destroying the image of a long-revered brand is never the right move, no matter how much attention people temporarily pay to you. Grabbing negative attention only works when you're a small nothing which nobody previous had heard of. In that case, you have little to lose. Here they are torching their reputation.

Jaguar is going all electric in 2025 which is even gayer than the ad

Jaguar is cancelling their legacy image and customer base deliberately. Aston Martin will be very busy

My take0 Companies, especially car companies, hiring the fresh out of college kids and let them and just letting them run their (no life experience) imaginations... and this is the result, crap. This is why most new cars suck now, have crappy designs and interiors. This all new age stuff is junk.

If I wanted to buy a gay electric car, I would just buy a Tesla.

Jaguar build quality used to be utter trash. That reputation is so ingrained in me that I have no idea or interest in their recent performance in that regard. To some degree divorcing with their past might be smart. I mean I have no idea who they are other than liking the F-type a lot.

Tesla build quality is rubbish. They look so cheap with their panel gaps and all. Your choice between Jaguar and Tesla could be tough.
