midstakes pro sustains over $3 million in damages by poker's finest frauds, & ghost my sought justice, redemption

hi my name is Niko I was a professional poker player for 8 years leading up to this summer. I'm the victim of a false accusation by Melissa Schubert. last year Melissa made a thread about me on twitter with a false story about me that was viewed over 100,000 times and got a pretty bad reaction. The result of that thread is (among a long list of other things) I have what seems like a severe case of post traumatic stress disorder. Regardless of where I turn to I have not been able to get my side of the story out. I've been censored and denied rights as an accused party. I've had resources that are necessary for my survival taken from me and I've been in a state for the past ~19.5 months that has felt like solitary confinement. Im unable to concentrate on basic tasks sometimes and I am having problems at a minimum wage job now. I am at on the fast track to homelessness for the rest of my life.

I have pleaded with over a dozen of the influencers who control the poker sphere to give me my basic human rights as an accused party in their industry. I am certain they are aware of this situation and the harm that is being inflicted on my by their willful ignorance. In simpler terms my accuser is an abuser and they are enablers. I am confident that a thorough investigation will find that not only I'm free of wrongdoing, but that I am a victim of negligence by various poker twitter influencers. I'm also confident that without an investigation, this woman will be allowed to escalate this to harm me further.

She led everybody to believe her story and that I have schizophrenia, neither of which are true. She later lied on a report to get a court hearing for a protective order. Then she lied to the judge (I'll have the transcript within a month most likely), and got the order granted. With this protective order instated I have no way to play live poker, because I do not know where she will be, and if she will feel like lying again to put me into prison. Once this is investigated you will understand how malicious what was done to me is, and why I have a reasonable expectation of being sabotaged again. This woman was given complete control of my life without me being given a fair hearing. She went on to abuse her influence and power in the poker world as well.

Once the protective order was granted I got a phone call telling me I was trespassed. Following this, over a year later, I got banned from WSOP while trying to reg the main event at the very last minute (I have video with timestamps).

Then I got permabanned from 2+2 for trying to have it investigated (they cited a rule that does not exist), ive also gotten removed from a group I used to buy and sell ACR at, booted from a private game, I got kicked from a backing firm that allowed me to play any tournament. Every time I privately try to bring attention to it in somebody's DM's I get ignored.

In the midst of all this I got my twitter account raided by ~20 anonymous accounts who were doing all sorts of stuff to me like telling me to commit suicide, spreading a fake death threat, and threatening to have me killed if I talked about her lies. I traced one of the accounts directly to her.

When I reported this to Jungleman this past summer I warned him that it was from within the poker world and asked that he find me a neutral party to speak to. He went ahead and shared it with his group anyway. Within days I started getting texts, DM's and my page was being raided again. They were spreading pictures of my penis to random people, and the fake death threat again.

I worked very very hard to be able to play poker for a living. I loved it and can no longer do it anymore and there is a reasonable chance I won't be in the frame of mind to ever do it again. I'm certain that this thread will get some of the same visceral responses as before, and that I will get people intentionally trying to prevent a simple investigation. I have maintained my innocence from the day I was accused and will continue to do so if it takes my entire life.

next week ill have the transcript of the court hearing. this story is deeper goes deeper than the false accusation and what i can explain on social media. ive fed information to the biggest names in the poker influencer world (think top 3) including market advice, how to navigate the political climate, and more (which when i sent it out was meant for the masses). they solicited this advice and have been profiting off of it. they conveniently avoid talking to me whenever i bring up the possibility of investigating or mediating. im confident they are liable for damages.

this is a condensed version of this btw. ill put this out there too: there's a 5.3% finders fee for the person who gets me mediation on this dispute between me and unnamed parties in this post (not my accuser obv bc she has obtained a protective order). u can be sure ive spent close to two years noting every last detail related to it and have verified all the information im giving you & the fact that they dont want to mediate speaks a lot, it's usually not a good sign.

Read your post. Here’s my legal advice: Dude you’re gripping. There’s more to life than playing poker, but if you want to, there are 100s of cardrooms where you can still play. Learn from your mistakes and move on. The best revenge is living well.

I’m sorry but what post did you read? I may not ever be able to work again as it is. I’m claiming I was scammed for my entire life. I’m claiming that my life was put in danger by a SHR player.

Typically when one party is scammed there is a concerted effort to figure out exactly what happened and to achieve a fair outcome. I’m claiming that I got scammed, it cost me a lot of money, that my life has been destroyed because of it. I want the same treatment as anybody else who has been scammed. I have spent the past two years trying to be treated like a human being and idk where guys like you keep coming from.

In this case somebody manipulated and abused every aspect of this event to favor her own side and scum me more and more every time. You’re saying that I shouldn’t have the playing field level and that I should move on, which is not a possibility in this instance. You’re saying the scammer should be allowed to continue scamming. I want to be treated fair and people like you skim my thread and try to tell me about something I’ve spent 2 years on, and keep trying to prevent that from happening.

Get out of my thread man. I’m clearly asking for an investigation or a mediation here. In my experience liars do not ever do that. Everything I posted is factual and you are the one who is speaking in generalities, you haven’t specifically pointed out anything as being a lie. Get out of my thread though, nothing constructive or contributing to this.

Like how do you believe I am just lying about what? Everything I’m claiming can be backed up. That is the point of this thread. I’m restricted as to what I can say which was one of the first points I made. I’m happy to take $80 or whatever I can scrape together and escrow it then take even money I’m not lying on each of my statements. Could reach my compensation owed quicker that way.

Edit: the number should be high 8 figures but I wrote $3m to try to avoid the shock factor that would come with it. I’d stake my name and reputation on this, I’m owed money by these guys. This is quite simple, neutral 3rd party gets to decide based on what I show them. Only a scam artist would defer. Which is what I think most of them are.

The first thing I’d advise you to do is get out get a dictionary. You don’t understand the difference between meditation and arbitration, much less how they work in real life.

Niko, we discussed this extensively in the other thread awhile back, and I gave my advice.

As difficult as this entire thing has been, I really suggest you just move on here.

The good news is that everyone has moved past the whole thing, and nobody in poker is going to care if they see you around. Just stay away from the woman in question (even if you feel that she wronged you), and nobody is going to give you a hard time. Believe me, there are far bigger fish to fry in the poker community, and your story was minor in the grand scheme of things, even among those who took the worst interpretation of what happened.

You will not get removed from this forum, provided you follow the (very few) rules here. However, you aren't likely to get a lot of sympathy from users here unless you provide compelling evidence for your claims.

If you would like some suggestions as to how to apply for WSOP to rescind the ban, I can give you some tips if you like.

Do you have a problem reading what I wrote sir? There is a protocol when somebody gets scammed, I was scammed, you and everybody else is gaslighting me and unwilling to follow the very simple protocol that will exonerate me and hold the negligent party accountable.

I am outlining it as clear as I possible can, I am not speaking in some code. This person has cost me millions in dollars in damages. She made up a fake story and posted it about me, it caused me a permanent injury. I am not even able to buy food right now, I do not know what planet you are living on where you think I'm going to walk into a poker room again. I can provide a mountain of evidence supporting my side, doctors notes, probably can even get a note from my boss that states I am having diffficulty even with basic tasks. This is humiliating for me even to post and you are prolonging what this women is doing to me. I have spent day and night studying this and talking to various people. She F'd up, they all F'd up, I am not looking for sympathy. I do not care about your sympathy!!! They owe me money. Period. You wanna help them sweep it under the rug?

You did not discuss this at all with me in fact you were not even willing to answer the first question. I'm going to state it again, a thorough investigation of every question I have will find without a doubt that I am due damages likely in the millions. If it is arbitrated it will find that her and her pals are liable for damages. I am unable to work, my life is a living hell, and you are talking about me coming back to play poker like I was on a timeout. Follow the protocol and then you have a right to say what you are saying. Until then I am accusing somebody of running a scam on me and it seems you are complicit in restricting my side of this story from being investigated.

I'm going to start with the transcript as soon as I get it, should be within the week. This is one of the easiest civil cases ever. I deserve a fair chance in court but her negligence has made it so that I cannot even afford legal counsel. I have spoken already to a lawyer regarding the TPO and it can be removed based on what I have. I cannot afford it. She blatantly and repetitively manipulated every step of this. She lied the entire way and did things in a manner that only a malicious person would do. You guys live on an entire different planet than the average person I will tell you that.


She claimed she received a bunch of unwarranted messages from me and that she was scared of me but none of her actions line up with her story and all of them line up with intent to harm an individual:

• doxxed me on twitter humiliating me and destroying my rep
• filed a false report to get a hearing for a protective order
• lied to the judge
• called wynn to get me trespassed
• got me trespassed from WSOP over a year later

None of this was necessary or is in line with what a person in fear of me would do. This is all before you consider the very real possibility that she has had people going after my vulnerable mental state through anonymous accounts, often telling me to commit suicide, and as recently as a few days ago. I have undeniable proof one of these accounts was her. I have gotten the feds involved. I would happily involve a forensic psychologist who can give his unbiased opinion however these things cost money, something i dont have, again because of my abuser. I do not need your sympathy, I need your cooperation. Follow the protocol.

This person destroyed a human life and is not a victim as she is claiming. You will never ever hear the end of it until I am allowed the proper protocol of an investigation and an arbitration between me and the following: Matt Berkey, Phil Galfond, Conrad Simpson, Joey Ingram, Daniel Cates. I have questions that they are avoiding. My life is hanging in the balance. I know you are used to swindlers coming through the poker world. I am not one of them. I am reporting to you exactly what is happening. It is a very big F up by some of them.

Listen, I know this is really hard for you to understand because you haven't been in a situation like this. I am very familiar with similar situations. They are guilty of something. Multiple people are going to prison. There is no other explanation if you take a look at how hard I tried to avoid making threads like this and the response I got from these people. Sometimes, people do stuff wrong. Usually when they do stuff wrong, their response is exactly what they are doing. I don't know how to make it any more clear to you. You're assuming you know something about this case based on what one party has showed you. I lived through it. I don't know how to convince you except for a thorough investigation which again, is being prevented by these people because they control the entire industry.

Druff, ban this guy before we have to read any more of this drivel. This is the second go-around with him. I vaguely remember waiting an interminable amount of time for "evidence" the first time around, too.

right one of the smart things you’ve said. They’re narcissistic sleazeballs which means they will pay up when it comes to light. They care about what they look like a lot. Which is why it needs to come to light. High functioning psychopaths and narcissists like these people exert excruciating mental and emotional torture on others without laying a finger on them and often without leaving a trail. In my case they left a sizable trail. You’re seeing these types of people be exposed on a global scale right now.

What motive do you have to take their side here? You should be telling me what I need to proceed with my case not trolling me. I’m certain they owe me money and it will be paid.
